    Job Description

    As a Shift Supervisor you will support the Shift Manager in the management in order to motivate the team, ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPI’s.Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Supervisor:Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded.To monitor and promote good working practices conforming to all Health and Safety law and IPS SOP’s.Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy production and orders.Manage outbound picking and loading to ensure load are ready on time for the collection.To ensure accuracy of systems on receipts and despatches.Ensuring that all Quality and compliance checks and controls are carried out and that the Operational team work to the Audit standard required.To be able to manage team and cover for Shift Managers in their absence.Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved.Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan delivered.Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures.
    Qualifications

    Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and WMS systems.Confident at dealing with people at all level.Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training/ working hours.Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.Ability to work as part of a team or individually.

    Ensuring that that the Production Line under their charge maximises the utilisation of the following 3 main resources of the business.Reporting and communicating all issues affecting Production effectively.Ensuring that all finished products and donor stocks always maintain their traceability and in accordance with the Culina IPS Production and Quality ProceduresEffectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI) Effectively maximising production efficiency, to ensure plans are met on a hourly/daily basisAdhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulationsEnsuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures. Assisting in developing a skills matrix for all production workers Assisting in training and development of new starters Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
    Qualifications

    Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance. Able to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour) Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement. Displays a positive attitude to change Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance.   Experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes Preferably food or packing experience
