    Technician – Safety Product Testing Kettering, Northamptonshire Up to £26,000 per annum Full Time | 37.5 Hours per Week Interaction Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading independent testing, inspection and certification organisation for a Technician to join their Safety Product Testing team in Kettering. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation at the forefront of product testing and certification, working with a wide range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used across multiple industries worldwide. The Role Working within the Safety Product Testing department, you will primarily support the motorcycle garment testing area, carrying out testing on jackets, trousers, race suits, gloves and impact protectors. Over time, you will also gain exposure to other PPE testing disciplines. Key responsibilities include: Conducting routine physical testing of PPE in accordance with European and International standards Operating specialist test equipment and accurately recording results Preparing samples for testing Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and organisation Managing sample storage and handling Supporting Technologists during customer visits Assisting with testing activities both on-site and occasionally at customer facilities Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in product testing and laboratory environments. As a Technician, you will be required to: Use test equipment and machines to generate accurate results Record and calculate test results electronically and on paper for reporting Prepare test samples prior to testing Read, learn and understand international PPE testing standards Maintain laboratory tidiness and manage sample storage Support technologists during customer visits, seminars and site tours when required Full training will be provided where needed.
