  Ready to start with an exciting, fully remote role that keeps everything running efficiently behind the scenes of a brilliant trade association dedicated to supporting scholarly publishing?
  Our client is looking to hire a Finance and Operations Assistant on a 30h a week permanent role, to support the smooth running of operations and finances, and help them deliver the best service to their members.
  
  Role Details:
  
  Location: Home-based (UK) with occasional travel for meetings or events
  Hours: 30 hours per week
  Salary: £30, per annum FTE
  Benefits:
  · hours annual leave pro rata for 30 hour/week (incl. bank holidays), plus office shut down between Christmas and New Year
  ·Pension Contribution matching 5% of your annual salary

  Overview:
  
  In this role, you'll work closely with the CEO on finance processes and admin, supporting supplier management, membership renewals, invoicing, and ad hoc admin duties.
  
  Key responsibilities will include:
  
  ·Processing invoices, expenses, and payments, keeping all financial records up to date using QuickBooks
  ·Helping with bank reconciliations and reports for the COO
  ·Supporting supplier contracts and membership renewals and invoicing
  ·Answering queries from members and keep their details up to date on the database
  ·Working with the team to streamline and improve processes
  
  About you:
  
  This is a lovely role for someone who is good with numbers and familiar with financial administration; you will ideally have experience with a financial software (QuickBooks or equivalent) and be comfortable with Excel spreadsheets. An interest in the not-for-profit or publishing sector is an advantage.

  We are delighted to be working with a leading illustrated non-fiction publisher who is seeking an experienced, imaginative and commercially minded Senior Commissioning Editor to join their team.
  
  This role is perfect for someone who thrives in co-edition and B2B publishing and loves brainstorming and developing big creative ideas for global clients. You will have the freedom to shape your own list, drive ideation, collaborate closely with an exceptionally creative design team and bring innovative, consumer-led illustrated books to life.
  
  The Role
  
  As Senior Commissioning Editor, you will lead on commissioning and developing illustrated non-fiction concepts for international markets. You will work directly with global publishing partners, understand their audiences and create original ideas that balance creative ambition with commercial strength. You will work hand in hand with designers, illustrators, production and marketing to explore how ideas translate visually and how design and content come together. You will oversee projects from concept to delivery while nurturing strong B2B relationships and ensuring each title meets the needs of clients and consumers.
  
  About You
  
  ·Strong experience within an illustrated or co-edition publisher with an understanding of international clients and markets
  ·Experience in consumer led product development and a passion for creating books with real market appeal
  ·Confident creative thinker, who enjoys brainstorming, shaping concepts and driving creative direction
  ·Highly innovative with the ability to push boundaries while maintaining commercial focus
  ·Strong communicator who builds trust with global publishing partners and enjoys collaborative working
  ·A natural relationship builder who works well in a very creative environment and thrives when working closely with designers
  ·A genuine love of illustrated publishing and the craft of bringing ideas to life

  Location: Hybrid with three days per week in Brighton or two days in Brighton and one day in London
