You know those engineers who can walk onto a site, lift the bonnet, and just know what's wrong? Field Service Engineers. We're working with a well-established machinery business that keeps the wheels turning, literally. They maintain and repair a wide range of forklifts and plant machinery used across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. They're looking for someone experienced, confident, and capable, someone who's been in the industry a while and knows their way around a hydraulic leak, an electrical fault, and the inside of a customer's machine shed. You'll be working solo most of the time, so this isn't one for a trainee. They need someone who can hit the ground running. You'll be trusted to manage your own day, head out to site in a fully stocked van, and represent the company with a smile. You'll be diagnosing faults, doing regular services, and getting broken-down machines back up and running, all while providing great customer service along the way. It's a Monday to Friday role, 40 hours a week, with a steady workload and full-time employment. You'll have a clean and reliable van, phone, tablet, and all the gear you need, plus a company that values what you do. To thrive in this role, you'll ideally: Have 5+ years of experience in the forklift or plant machinery industry Be confident working independently on mechanical and electrical issues Hold a clean UK driving licence Enjoy a hands-on role where no two days are the same Take pride in doing the job properly the first time The Details: Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

You'll be part of a forward-thinking business that values continuous improvement, clean working practices, and a supportive team culture. Salary:
£35,000 Hours : 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday Location : Daventry Job Duties : Perform TIG welding of titanium parts and assemblies to extremely high-quality standards. Use inert atmosphere techniques such as purge chambers, gloveboxes, or welding cabinets. Read and follow SOPs and work orders to meet daily production targets. Prepare and clean parts for welding and ensure correct setup. Assist with jig and fixture evaluations with the Quality team. Sign off 1st and last-offs, support the training of new team members. Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving on the shop floor. Maintain tools, welding equipment, and a clean workspace. Requirements : Proven experience in titanium TIG welding within a purge chamber or inert atmosphere environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. A proactive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and ask questions. Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
