    We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our Device Development team within R&D on a 12-month contract. In this exciting role, you’ll play a vital part in turning cutting-edge ideas into reality—supporting upstream innovations and technologies within our Discovery pillar. You’ll work on future products and technologies, collaborate closely with our IP team to protect potential intellectual property, and help bring our technology strategy to life.

Key accountabilities • Bring ideas to life – Assist Development Engineers in testing prototypes and exploring innovative device concepts. • Work on cutting-edge projects – Contribute to new technology initiatives within our Device Development team, helping shape the future of our products. • Own the lab space – Manage workshop and lab facilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. • Champion safety and quality – Maintain high Health & Safety standards and uphold best practices across all lab operations. • Hands-on innovation – Operate and maintain test machines, assemble/disassemble prototypes and competitor devices, and prepare samples for consumer testing. • Turn data into insights – Complete product testing, capture results, and create clear reports that drive decision-making and innovation. Skills & experience• Data-driven mindset – Confident in data acquisition, logging, and compiling insights that shape innovation. • Hands-on skills – Comfortable using general lab tools and working with test equipment in a workshop environment. • Organized and proactive – Able to plan and complete tasks to agreed standards while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. • Tech-savvy – Strong computer literacy with the ability to record and analyse numerical data effectively. • Practical experience – Background in mechanical, medical, or product testing roles, with exposure to technical environments. • Clear communicator – Skilled in creating technical documents, reports, and presenting data in a way that drives decisions.
