About the Role We are looking for a dedicated, proactive and compassionate Support Worker to join an established home care team supporting Sabrina, a young lady born in who lives in Warsash with her parents and twin sister. Sabrina has abrain injury, experiences anxiety and some behavioural challenges, and is supported by a team of therapists and her family. She has a warm, caring nature and a great sense of determination. Family, friendship, and animals—especially horses and goats—are very important to her. She enjoys hair and make‑up, cooking, shopping, the cinema. Sabrina attends regular physio sessions, personal training session and equine therapy. Your support will focus on helping Sabrina build independence, improve organisational skills, access community activities safely, enjoy her hobbies, and manage day‑to‑day tasks—while always promoting dignity and confidence. There is a dog in the family home, so you’ll need to be comfortable around pets. Key Responsibilities Supporting Sabrina to engage in home and community activities Encouraging independence, routine, and organisation Providing emotional reassurance and assisting with anxiety management strategies Helping with cooking, shopping, and daily living tasks Assisting with personal care while promoting independence wherever possible Driving Sabrina’s large SUV as well as using your own car when required (including for training) Working collaboratively with family members and therapists

    Jamie, born in , has enthusiasm for life and loves attention! He is alert, very engaging and also likes to play and interact socially with others, especially kicking footballs. He enjoys going to the cinema, attending his clubs, and swimming. Jamie has moderate Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy and requires reliable, caring, positive and pro-active special needs Support Workers to join his team to help him lead a fulfilling life and to be given the opportunity to undertake the activities he enjoys. He uses a wheelchair when out, as he tires very easily, he walks aided, or will hold your hand or shoulder for support. Jamie benefits from having two people to support him, he has no risk awareness so does require support for physical activities. He has limited verbal communication and uses Makaton signs and facial expressions/gestures to help him be understood, he uses an iPad to aid his communication and make choices. Jamie can also present with challenging physical behaviour when feeling worried or anxious which requires support. Your role as a 2:1 Support Worker will be to support Jamie will all aspects of daily living and personal care, supervision throughout the day and some attention during the night. To contribute to Jamie's ongoing development with a positive and upbeat attitude and to be able to work closely alongside his family and current support team. You will also accompany the family on holidays.

James has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy, is severely visually impaired, and non-mobile, he requires all his care needs met and uses a PEG for his fluids, and a wheelchair for mobility. He is unable to regulate his temperature which can cause him to have seizures. Your role as his Support Worker will be to support with getting up and dressed in the mornings, ready for school, after school to support changing and eating his dinner, bathing or showering and taking his medication. On the weekends, you will support him during his hydrotherapy on a 2:1 care basis and during any other activities, either with or without his family members. You will also assist with chores around the family home.
