    Your team

    Our Pricing Tools team designs, implements and maintains GUI tools and backend servers that provide vital functionality for our dealers and other teams. We're a full-stack team with Windows apps, Linux servers, and web-based apps in our portfolio.

    Your role in the Team's Success

    You'll play a critical role in a small team where you'll contribute to the design, implementation, testing and delivery of features and technology improvements across the range of applications our team owns. You'll bring expertise in the areas you have experience in, while also learning new skills and technologies as needed to work on a diverse range of applications.

    What you'll do

    Implement feature and reliability enhancements to existing software, or develop new tools
    Deliver reliable and performant code, with unit testing and automated testing where necessary
    Maintain build pipelines and other infrastructure required to build and verify our software
    Contribute to team design meetings,
    Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a large andplex system
    Work with key users and stakeholders to collect requirements and feedback to ensure our software meets users' needs
    What you'll need for this role

    Demonstrable understanding of modern C++, including STL, OOD/OOP and C++ 11/14/17+
    Practised user of LINUXmand line and scripting.
    Take ownership of the design, implementation of a feature orponent and deliver a well-tested solution.
    Windows desktop application development.
    Flexible in learning new technologies and skills to work in a diverse technology stack.
    Experience in any of the following is a plus: web development (especially TypeScript and React or similar), REST APIs, wxWidgets GUI library, GitLab build system, Conan C++ package manager.

The role will involve understanding how IG monitors and manages its various risks, and how this influences the regulatory and economic capital the Group holds. You will work closely with the various risk teams as well as the broader business to understand the sources of IG's risks and ensure that these are captured in our risk management framework and risk appetite statement. You will analyse why the risk exposures have changed from day to day, and advise on trends over time. A curious mind and a desire to provide clarity are required traits. What you’ll do Oversee the various metrics in the risk appetite statement to pick up issues and trends Analyse data to understand changes in market and credit risk exposures - Build dashboards to assist with this if appropriate Keep abreast of current and emerging risks and write a semi-annual paper describing these. This also requires gathering information from subject matter experts across the business. Keep abreast of best practice methodologies for measuring risks, keeping in mind the effect this has on how we manage capital Be responsible for the Group's Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement Keep in touch with new projects within the Group and their associated risks and capital requirements.
