    The Senior Simulator Engineer plays a key role in the development, operation, and continuous improvement of Hyundai Motor Group Racing’s driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulation environment. This environment supports a wide range of activities, including vehicle development, performance optimization, driver assessment, and simulation correlation across multiple racing programs. Key responsibilities: Manage the operation, development, and continuous improvement of simulation systems, including AVL VSM Race Manage and optimize Dynisma driving simulator performance and reliability Develop advanced vehicle dynamics models and simulation workflow using Matlab/Simulink Configure and maintain simulation environments using: PTWinSim, RaceCon, SimHub Manage simulation correlation activities between virtual and track/test data Support race engineering and vehicle dynamics teams through high-qualitiy simulator preparation and analysis Develop and validate simulation methodologies, tools, and KPIs Oversee simulator session preparation, execution, and post-session reporting Troubleshoot complex simulator, software, integration issues Collaborate with software, controls, and systems engineering teams to improve simulation fidelity and real-time performance Contribute to the development of future simulator technologies and workflows Support junior simulator engineers and interns Ensure documentation standards and technical processes are maintained across simulation activities Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or related discipline Significant experience in vehicle simulation, motorsport engineering, or DIL simulation environment (min. 5 yrs) Advanced experience with: AVL VSM Race, Matlab/Simulink, PWTinSim, RaceCon, SimHub Strong understanding of: Vehicle dynamics, tire modeling, real-time simulation systems, Driver-in-the-loop simulation technologies Experience operating or developing Dynisma or equivalent simulator systems Familiarity with graphical simulation environments such as rFpro Strong data analysis and correlation capabilities Experience with scripting/programming (MATLAB, Python, or similar) Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills Preferred: Motorsport or high-performance vehicle development experience, experience supporting race weekends, test events, or performance simulation programs, knowledge of HIL/SIL/DIL integration environments, familiarity with controls systems and vehicle calibration processes, experience managing technical projects or leading engineerig activities, understanding of simulation infrastructure, network, and real-time computing systems Senior Competencies: Ability to manage technical direction within simulator engineering activities Decision-making capabilities in high-pressure and time-sensitive environments Proven ability to develop junior engineers Effective cross-functional communication with engineering, software, and performance groups Strong project ownership and accountability Continuous improvement mindset with focus on innovation and efficiency Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously Strategic thinking regarding future simulation technologies and methodology Key Competencies: Fluent English required (daily working language) Advanced technical expertise Analytical thinking Communication and collaboration Attention to details Adaptability and innovation Performance-driven mindset  What We Offer: Competitive compensation and benefits Opportunities for professional development Relocation support _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Le Senior Simulator Engineer joue un rôle clé dans le développement, l’exploitation et l’amélioration continue de l’environnement de simulation « driver-in-the-loop » (DIL) de Hyundai Motor Group Racing. Cet environnement prend en charge un large éventail d’activités, notamment le développement des véhicules, l’optimisation des performances, l’évaluation des pilotes et la corrélation des simulations à travers différents programmes de course. Main tasks Take responsibility for powertrain calibration at the test bench and – if required – at the race track. Display good knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art TC-DI engine development with a main focus on powertrain test bench calibration and development. Proficiency with programming/scripting languages. Formula SAE experience is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge in the field of ICE/powertrain testing and metrology. A good understanding of internal combustion engine and powertrain fundamentals. Capability with the application of test bench automation, combustion analysis, and CAN bus architecture. Competence in data post-processing tools (Wintax, ATLAS, etc.). Proficient in English. Proficient in German (or willingness to learn it) is a plus.
