About the role As Marketing and Communications Manager - Leisure, Health and Environment, you will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications activity across One Leisure and Parks and Open Spaces. You will create a joined‑up approach that increases participation and footfall while ensuring a strong, consistent and engaging brand presence across all channels. This is a highly visible, public‑facing role where you will plan and deliver creative, multi‑channel campaigns that connect with diverse audiences. Using insight and data, you will evaluate effectiveness and continually improve how we communicate with our communities. You will manage a small team of marketing officers, providing clear leadership, direction and professional development while fostering a collaborative and creative environment. Working closely with colleagues across leisure operations, parks management and corporate communications, you will also engage with external partners, community groups and suppliers. You will manage marketing budgets, ensuring value for money, and safeguard the council’s brand and reputation. Your work will play a vital role in encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy our leisure facilities and green spaces, supporting health, wellbeing and community pride across the district. About you You are an experienced marketing and communications professional with a strong track record of planning, delivering and evaluating successful campaigns. You bring proven experience of leading and developing a team, managing multiple priorities and working at a pace while maintaining high standards. You are confident in producing compelling content for a range of audiences and channels, and are comfortable using digital tools, social media platforms and customer insight to inform your approach. You are a natural collaborator, able to build effective relationships across services and with external partners, and you communicate with clarity, credibility and impact. You have a strong understanding of brand management and are committed to inclusive and accessible communications that reflect the diversity of our communities. Job details Eastfield House - Monday to Friday, circa 6am to 2pm daily, 37 hours per week full-time. We are seeking a refuse/recycling loader to be part of the team to primarily load different types of waste onto the collection vehicles. You will collect all forms of household and recycling waste, work as part of a crew, be polite, helpful and comfortable working outside in all weathers and be able to lift heavy loads as part of your daily duties. You must be able to make decisions on what waste can and cannot be removed, undertake risk assessments when working with the driver, be aware of health and safety in relation to manual handling and have good communication skills, both with your crew and the public. You will need to be able to follow instructions, always conduct yourself in a professional manner and work in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. All PPE will be provided. Job details One Leisure St Neots is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. You will deliver and support the One Leisure corporate and site-specific systems, procedures and programmes to ensure a quality customer experience and exceptional service, both within the poolside environment and dryside. You will also be responsible for key performance areas, which you oversee and develop in line with the One Leisure Business Strategy. You will have experience as a Supervisor or Manager within a leisure centre, swimming pool or fitness facility. Ideally, you will hold qualifications in lifeguarding, pool plant operations and first aid, although training can be provided to the right candidate. You will be an organised person who is able to effectively lead a team, and deputise for the General Manager when required. You will be proactive in the way that you work and support your team to achieve the best out of them, no matter the situation. This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
