We invite you to join the Hexcel team at various manufacturing sites, sales offices and R&D centers around the globe. Become a part of the “strength within.”Hexcel is currently seeking a Deputy Quality Manager for our Duxford, UK location.The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Support the Quality Manager in maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements. Assist in managing and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documentation control and adherence. Prepare, coordinate, and lead internal audits while supporting external audits from customers, regulators, and accreditation bodies. Monitor, track, and close out audit findings through robust root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g., 9Phase). Oversee quality control activities including first article inspection, in‑process and final inspection, and non‑conformance management. Support identification and control of non‑conforming material, concessions, and rework processes. Act as deputy leader for the Quality function, including supervising Quality Engineers and Technicians and handling department leadership duties during manager absence. Support customer-facing quality activities including reviews, problem resolution, and FAI submissions. Participate in supplier audits, approvals, and ongoing supplier performance monitoring (APQP/PPAP where applicable). Support continuous improvement initiatives including yield improvement, scrap reduction, SPC, PFMEA, and lean manufacturing activities.Qualifications:Engineering or materials science degree, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience within aerospace, defence, or advanced composite manufacturing environments. Experience managing and developing technical teams. Strong understanding of AS9100, NADCAP, and relevant aerospace regulatory requirements. Background in auditing, with internal auditor certification considered beneficial. Ability to lead structured problem‑solving activities and investigations.Strong communication and influencing skills across all organisational levels. Experience supporting customer quality activities and engagement. Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and statistical process control (SPC). Familiarity with risk management processes, including PFMEA and quality risk mitigation.Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based. We invite you to join the Hexcel team at various manufacturing sites, sales offices and R&D centers around the globe. Become a part of the “strength within.”Hexcel is currently seeking an Engineering Projects Manager for our Duxford, UK location.The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Lead and manage the full project life cycle for specialist projects and installations, facilitating technical decisions and identifying all factors involved e.g., strategic, high value and novel projects like but not limited to CMF1 re-energization.Support the proposal process (conception to completion) including planning and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.Co-ordination of relevant support and collaboration required from colleagues, and management of project related sub-contractors on site.Supporting the Projects, Engineering and Maintenance Manager to ensure tender specifications are within budget.Ensure that project implementation is timely, and the quality of the product design (supplied equipment) is fit for purpose, compliant with business and customer requirements and in-line with our project specifications. Consistently promote high standards of conduct and work performance for all company and third-party personnel working on the project to ensure full compliance with company procedures and Statutory Regulations Identify and mitigate risks and successfully deliver important development projects within agreed time, cost, and scope e.g., R&T projects. Line manager responsibility for projects team including performance reviews, training requests, and ensuring targets are met. Qualifications:Mechanical Engineering qualification/professional status Experience in a project engineering/management experience in a multi-national manufacturing organization Commercial awareness to ensure projects are working to budget and schedule. Product and industry knowledge of plant equipment, automated systems Working knowledge of commissioning processes, and managing and mitigating risks utilizing specific techniques for engineering projects Planning of resource to ensure key stakeholders are engaged and resource readily available when needed, and management of costs for the engineering work within the allocated budget. Able to handle multiple, competing priorities. Must be an effective communicator with people at all levels of the business, written and verbal.
