Right now, we are looking for a Team Manager to play a pivotal role in our Modern Slavery Response Service in London. Sounds great, what will I be doing? The Team Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Advocates providing support to potential victims of modern slavery living in the community. They also support with other management functions as required within the framework of the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract and Hestia's internal processes. What do I need to bring with me? You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. Here's what the team will be looking for You will bring experience of supporting vulnerable individuals with a sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them effectively. With strong team management skills, you will be confident in recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, and handling disciplinary or grievance matters. You will also have experience in performance monitoring to ensure consistently high service standards and the ability to manage a service within budget. Alongside this, you will demonstrate knowledge of assessing, formulating, implementing, and reviewing support and assessment plans. Proficient in the use of computer systems, you will be able to create accurate reports while supporting staff to record client data effectively. Strong report writing and interpretation skills, excellent spoken and written English, and a commitment to implementing good Equality and Diversity practices will also be essential to the role. The Recruitment Specialist plays a key role in supporting hiring managers by understanding recruitment needs, service requirements, and ideal candidate profiles. This role involves proactively sourcing both active and passive candidates through CV databases, professional networks, talent pools, and the applicant tracking system (ATS). The Recruitment Partner conducts comprehensive screenings to assess candidates' skills, experience, and alignment with organisational values.
