    Are you an enthusiastic team player, who wants to join an established team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.

    Do you have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service with the ability to remain calm under pressure you will be tasked in advising residents on how to dispose of their waste, whilst working safely. This role involves working in all types of weather conditions and experience of working under prolonged periods of sustained physical effort would be advantage.

    We are recruiting warehouse operatives to work within an old-fashioned warehouse for the period of 5th January until 6th February 2026. Please note there is a possibility this time frame may be extended.

    Pay rate: £13.06 per hour
    Location: Welwyn Garden City
    Shift time 07.00-15.00, Monday to Friday with the possibility of weekend work as and when needed.

    Full training will be provided.

    Job summary
    Picking and packing stationary for client orders, replenishment of shelves and goods in.

    You will be provided with a daily pick sheet and a trolley. You locate the items in the aisles. Once full the trolley is taken to the packing station and packed ready for distribution.

    You will cover a fair distance on foot within the warehouse and must be physically fit enough to lift and move items.

    The client is based a short walk from Welwyn Garden City train station, and also has an accessible bus route. There is plenty of street parking a 5 minute walk away if their shared car park is full. Read Less

On-Call firefighters are a group of community spirited men and women who are ‘on-call’ to respond when their pager bleeps, having been called into action by our Fire Control Centre where 999 calls are handled. Many of our On-Call firefighters have other jobs and provide important fire service cover during weekdays, evenings and weekends. What does it take?
