This role involves overall leadership and control of a Major Project Team, ensuring safety, timely completion, and adherence to budget and specifications. You will be the primary contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, focusing on a single large project initially, with potential variations based on workload and business needs.Key Responsibilities:Client/Consultant Relationship: Develop and maintain a network of contacts, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.Pre-Construction: Provide technical input for tenders, including construction methods, value engineering, and programming.Construction Stage: Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with company policies and sustainability strategies. Lead in health, safety, welfare, and environmental compliance.General: Identify issues proactively, maintain confidentiality, and represent Henry Boot Group’s best interests.Personnel and Development: Support and guide reporting staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to job roles.Qualifications and Experience:Essential: Relevant qualifications (HNC/Degree in Construction), previous experience in leading construction projects.Desirable: Professional membership (e.g., CIOB)Skills and Abilities:Essential: Excellent communication, leadership, and business management skills. This role involves instigating and maintaining client contact, assessing technical competence, and managing the design process from pre-construction through to on-site execution. You will ensure compliance with specifications, programme, and budget, while driving innovation and best practices in design.Key Responsibilities:Client Engagement: Procure Design & Build opportunities, identify future profitable work, and apply to tender.Design Coordination: Manage and coordinate design team members, ensuring high-quality design and performance of external consultants.Technical Competence: Appraise sub-contractor tender submissions, arrange site visits, and assist in preparing cost budgets and fees.On-Site Management: Produce regular design progress reports, investigate latent defects, and manage the design process using contractual, programme, and technical expertise.Problem-Solving: Review designs to identify risks, work with consultants and contractors to resolve project issues, and provide input into programme and commercial risks.Accountability: Take responsibility for design coordination at both pre-construction and on-site stages, ensuring compliance with current legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
