    About the Role
    We are seeking a dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join a supportive and dynamic fostering service in the Northwest. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference to children and families while working in a collaborative, professional environment.

    As a Supervising Social Worker, you will manage a caseload across the Northwest, primarily clustered by location to ensure efficiency. While the role is office-based for duties such as team meetings, training, and support groups, there is considerable flexibility in working arrangements.

    You will also be part of an Out of Hours (OOH) rota for the Northwest region (approximately every 8 weeks or more), providing advice and signposting remotely. This OOH work is compensated at £150 per week, with enhanced rates for Bank Holidays.

    Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise a caseload of foster carers and children in line with fostering regulationsProvide high-quality advice, support, and guidance to carers and young peopleEnsure compliance with all fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding legislationParticipate in team meetings, training, support groups, and other office-based dutiesContribute to the Out of Hours rota, providing advice and signposting as neededMaintain accurate records and use IT systems effectively (Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database systems)RequirementsQualified Social Worker registered with Social Work EnglandExperience working within fosteringComprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding legislationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to high-quality practice, including occasional work beyond 17:00 and some weekendsWillingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Social Worker to contribute to a high-performing fostering service with excellent support and benefits.
