    We currently have a vacancy within our Urgent Care Team for a Base Team Lead, working 30 hours per week, including alternate weekends and a variety of shifts.Based at our Head Office in Chippenham, with regular travel to our four operational bases across the county (Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon), this role offers plenty of variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day. Experience in an operational role within a healthcare environment is desirable, along with strong attention to detail.About the RoleAs a Base Team Lead, you will work closely with the Assistant Operations Manager, fellow Team Leads, and your allocated base to support the Urgent Care Team in delivering a high‑quality, 24/7 service to our patients and service users.You will have line management responsibility for a team of approximately 6–20 staff, overseeing recruitment, HR processes, induction, training, and ongoing support.You will ensure that agreed working practices are followed consistently across the team and that patient care remains central to everything we do.We are looking for someone who is calm, focused, and an excellent communicator,  someone who can work autonomously and use their knowledge, judgement, and initiative to support both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to follow established instructions, procedures, and protocols to help maintain the effective and efficient running of the service.The Urgent Care Base Team Lead plays a key role as a professional and responsive point of contact for health and social care professionals, while also supporting other functions within both the Call Centre and Out‑of‑Hours bases. You will help provide a high‑quality interface between stakeholders and ensure that our bases are well maintained, with all quality checks completed and documented in line with compliance requirements.Please note: as we operate 24/7, 365 days a year, a flexible approach to working hours is essential.     As a result of continued growth, HealthHero are seeking to recruit two Urgent Care Assistants to support our service on a on a minimum hours contract. Our Urgent Care Assistants will be required to undertake driving and receptionist duties to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath and North East Somerset. Working on a minimum hours basis offers the ability to work flexibly, choosing shifts available based on our evolving operational need. Whilst there is a 2 shift per month minimum commitment, you will be able to opt in to a greater number of shifts up to a maximum of 37.5 hours/week.Please note that whilst our Head Office is situated in Chippenham, a degree of flexibility will be required to support the operational need across our Urgent Care Bases as per our operational need. The Role:As an Urgent Care Assistant, you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the South West locality.We operate a 24/7, 365 days a year service providing care to our service users. This role will involve providing non-clinical support to clinicians and patients who use the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service. Due to the nature of the role, some flexibility working across our Urgent Care bases may be required within the shift hours.Our Urgent Care service operates across Wiltshire, with bases in Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon. If successful your rota may include a variety of the below hours:Monday – Friday 18:15/18:30 – 23:00 (Evenings)Monday – Friday 23:00 – 08:00 (Overnights)Saturday - Monday 0800 - 08:00 - (Encompassing AM/PM/Evening or Overnight Shifts)Your key duties will include:DrivingDriving Clinicians to the patient's home in a safe and legal manner – adhering to current driving regulations.Perform basic vehicle checks at the beginning and end of shifts – ensuring they are roadworthy, fuelled and fully equipped.Accurate recording of all medications and consumables used while on shift.Base dutiesTo be the first point of contact for the patient or carer/relative in our designated Treatment Centres.Supporting Clinicians while you are on shift.Communicating with patients both in person and via the telephone (comfort & welfare checks).Ensure the Treatment Centre is kept clean and tidy.Medication and Stock Management:Using a variety of computer systems to accurately maintain stock levels of medication and consumables.Replenishing car stock at the end of your shift.Understand stock rotation and expiry dates on weekly delivery of medications and consumables*Full Training will be provided*The Urgent Care Assistant role is varied in nature. The successful candidate will expected to undertake duties, ranging from sitting at a reception desk and/or in a car for long periods of time to carrying weighted emergency equipment and undertaking CPR on the floor if necessary.
