Solicitor Private Law Children & Domestic Abuse (Family) Bath PQE: NQ 5 years | Term: Permanent | Hours: Full-time (37.5)
We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join a dynamic Family team in Bath, specialising in Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse cases. The role is open to NQ through to 5 years PQE.
The Role: You will manage a caseload of legal aid files, working under supervision, providing high-quality advice to clients with a focus on client service excellence. You will also support business development initiatives, contribute to marketing activities, and help build the teams reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Manage your own files with minimal supervision, taking instructions directly from clients. Progress advocacy matters and negotiate effective solutions. Build and maintain relationships with clients, including smaller clients. Scope and price work effectively under supervision. Work closely with senior lawyers to develop client management skills. Comply with professional conduct rules and risk management policies. Support business development initiatives and contribute to departmental objectives. Record time, monitor WIP, and ensure accurate billing.
Skills & Experience: Qualified Solicitor with NQ 5 years PQE. Experience in Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse. Strong client management and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work independently.
