Work with the print room to continuously improve process efficiency, eliminating unnecessary costs from the business and keeping waste to a minimum. Communicate maintenance/breakdown requirements to service personnel/Production Manager. Liaise with Production Manager, team members and Dept Managers as required. Active involvement in staff training and development as required. The key to this role is being able to plan each job and interpret written information accurately and in line with the customer proposed due date and build this detail into a dynamic plan. This will take the job from conception through each different Production departments to completion and require an individual departmental plan. In brief, you will be creating a theoretical master plan taking into account the materials, the people and the machines in each department as the job flows through from start to finish ensuring a balanced capacity plan. It is very important that this role builds the overall and the individual departmental plans that are realistic and achievable. This will take into account any changes so they can be incorporated into the MIS system to ensure the business achieves its internal KPI target.
