    SHIFT PATTERN: 5x 12 hour days on 4 days off, 5x 12 hour nights on 5 days off, 2x 12 hour days and 2x 12 hour nights on 12 days offA vacancy has arisen for an Electrical MFO, responsible for the effective examination, testing, installation and maintenance of all electrical equipment, to join our team within our Port of Tyne contract.Hargreaves Industrial Services provide a varied Operations, Maintenance and Industrial cleaning service to our client at the Port of Tyne Biomass handling facility.We are responsible for the day to day maintenance and operations of a material handling system consisting of traditional and Air glide conveyors including a number of transfer towers and three 25,000 ton storage silos which transfers Biomass wood pellets from vessel to a rail loading facility with which we also maintain and operate sending the Biomass material via rail to Lynemouth power station.The site is also supported on a day to day basis with our industrial cleaning team ensuring a very strict cleaning regime is adhered to at all times.The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Ensuring Job cards are suitable for the work to be carried out under the Work Order Card and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statement (undertake electrical isolations as required).Liaise daily with the Electrical supervisor/ Management team.Raising and closing out of all defects.Carry out maintenance and repairs on all Electrical/Instrumentation equipment.Carry out Planned Maintenance as per Operation Manual SchedulesInstallation of Electrical Apparatus.A.T.     CLOSING DATE: 3rd March 2026A vacancy has arisen for a HGV Lead Driver to join our team within our new Operations and cleaning of a Biomass handling & storage facility contract at the Port of Tyne.The lead driver role is not only to drive and operate the HGV tippers during vessel discharge periods but to ensure, that the HGV tipper drivers (HIS/Agency) are correctly set to work, and ensure they comply with all the site instructions and requirements to ensure full compliance during these operations at all times, hours of work will be dependent on vessel schedules.Liaising with all HGV tipper operators to ensure statutory cleaning is carried out to the desired level and visual checks are also being completed during the shiftEnsure all data is logged onto our VEHOCHECK system by all individuals, pre-start checks, post work checks, scheduled cleaning etc.Work closely with the plant supervisor to ensure all defects and maintenance requirements are requested via the right channels.Police the day-to-day HGV operations and be the point of contact between the HGV operators and all key stakeholdersHargreaves Industrial Services provide an operations, and cleaning service to our client at the Port of Tyne Biomass handling facility.
    We are responsible for the safe movements and handling of Biomass following discharge from vessels and the despatch of loaded rail wagons within the Port.The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -Primary role - Will be operations of HGV tippers transporting Biomass from the quayside hoppers through to site storage facilities in a supervisory capacitySecondary role - Will be supporting the requirements to move materials outside of vessel windows, cleaning of the HGV tippers when not in operation and also support the cleaning of the Wood pellet facilityBe the point of contact between the HGV operators (HIS/Agency) and all other stakeholdersProactively police all operators with the day to day dutiesLiaise with plant supervisor who will ensure vehicles in advance of a vessel being discharged are given a deep clean, oils, lubes and service checks on the machine, ensuring ready for useEnsure all relevant paperwork is completed to support the plant operations and material movementsEnsure plant and equipment is always maintained to an operationally safe and clean conditionEnsure all plant is operated correctly, walk around checks are being completed prior entering the quayside, sheets are in the correct position, rear doors are secured etc.Ensure all pre-start checks, post work checks, cleaning checks are completed as required and all detail logged onto VEHOCHECK by all operatorsEnsure the plant fuelling system is used correctly by all operatorsComplete the daily/operational POWRA, update as required and deliver to shift teamUnderstanding of Safe Working Procedures.Deliver team/shift toolbox talks.Attend any meetings or training sessions as requiredThe ideal candidate will be a good communicator and must have a good understanding of Health &Safety in the workplace.The successful candidate will also be required to support other roles within the operation – Examples below (training will be provided)
