    About the Role
    We're looking for a proactive and relationshipdriven Lending Manager to join our growing Specialist Mortgages division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of broker relationship management, mortgage structuring, and customer experience.
    As a product expert, you'll work closely with brokers and internal teams to introduce highquality mortgage applications, support new business generation, and manage loan applications from initial enquiry through to completion. You'll play a key part in ensuring a smooth journey for both brokers and borrowers while helping HTB continue its rapid growth within Specialist Mortgages.     Key Responsibilities
    New Business Generation & Broker EngagementBuild and manage strong relationships with brokers across the networkGenerate highquality mortgage applications in line with business targetsFollow up on appointments, leads and issued DIPsHandle inbound scenario calls, supporting brokers on structure, criteria and productsSupport broker onboarding and ensure due diligence and documentation is completed
    Pipeline & Case ManagementManage and progress loan applications through to completionMaintain regular communication with brokers, borrowers and internal teamsAnswer borrower queries on terms, pricing and structureEnsure HTB systems are updated and used effectively as an audit trail
    Customer Service & CollaborationProvide a "best in class" service throughout the mortgage journeyWork closely with Underwriting, Sales and New Business to maintain quality loan originationSupport Business Development Managers with market activity and broker engagementDiscuss and process loans directly with borrowers when required

    About the Role
    We're looking for an experienced, detaildriven Portfolio Manager to join our Development Finance team. This role is central to supporting SME housebuilders across the UK through handson portfolio oversight, strong credit stewardship and proactive relationship management.
    You'll work closely with Lending Directors, Relationship Managers, borrowers and professional partners to monitor development projects, identify risks early, and ensure facilities progress in line with approved budgets, timelines and sales strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about property development finance and keen to play a key role in enabling the delivery of homes across the UK.
    Key Responsibilities
    Portfolio Oversight & Credit StewardshipMonitor loan expiries, interest tranches, construction milestones and sales progress.Conduct site inspections to assess build progress, quality, budgets and schedules.Liaise with Quantity Surveyors, borrowers and construction teams.Review cashflows and variances against approved models to identify early risks.Support restructuring recommendations and prepare credit papers and memos.
    Risk Monitoring & ReportingComplete monthly time delay and cost overrun analysis.Monitor unit sales and identify slow sales or undervalue risks early.Maintain accurate records and portfolio management systems.Produce highquality portfolio reports for Committee and periodic reviews.
    Collaboration & Relationship ManagementSupport Lending Directors, Relationship Managers and Credit teams.Build strong relationships with borrowers and professional partners.Input into departmental portfolio overviews and annual credit reviews.Contribute to enhancements in systems and reporting (Keystone, Tableau).Assist in developing borrower retention strategies for repeat and new business.
