About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our delivery-focused Network Team. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting HTB's network infrastructure across firewalls, routing & switching, voice, video, and load balancers. This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure resilience, availability, and security of systems that underpin the bank's growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesResolve tickets at first contact in line with SLA targetsProactively manage open tickets, ensuring timely updates and closureTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issuesPerform daily system checks and escalate abnormalitiesCreate and maintain SOPs and knowledge base articlesTrack hardware/software lifecycle in the CMDB (EoL, EoS, contracts)Deliver end-to-end network solutions aligned with business and security standardsMaintain network security against internal and external threatsMonitor and manage network performance for resilience and availabilityParticipate in projects, ensuring successful implementationIdentify opportunities for automation and optimisation (e.g., Network Automation, DevOps)Document and maintain accurate diagrams and configurations
What We're Looking ForDegree-level qualification or relevant work experienceCisco CCNP minimum, with strong Data Centre / WAN / LAN expertiseExperience with Palo Alto / Cisco Firepower firewalls, routers, and switchesRouting protocols (OSPF, BGP) and Cisco ISE Radius/DOT1XCloud experience (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare)Knowledge of IPT/VoIP solutionsCisco ACI & DNA, SD-WAN, and load balancing solutionsMonitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, CheckMK)Remote Access / VPN technologies and two-factor authenticationNetwork automation and DevOps knowledge
