The Role
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will design and deliver year-round physical preparation support to the Hampshire Cricket Men’s Academy and Talent Pathway. The role focuses on athletic development, physical performance, injury rehabilitation, and injury prevention, underpinned by evidence-based practice and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
You will also support the senior men’s professional programme during the competitive season and at key points throughout the year, working closely with the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach and the wider Science and Sports Medicine department.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, desire to work as part of a team and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What you need to succeed in this role:
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning
Postgraduate qualification in Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning
UKSCA Accreditation (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
Established experience in elite or pathway sport
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and growth mentality
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Understanding of cricket and associated injury profiles
Full UK driving licence
It would be an added bonus if you have:
Previous experience working in cricket
ISAK Level 1 qualification
Experience using GPS systems
