Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate a team of operatives on a daily basis, promoting a safe, productive, and positive working environment while resolving issues and escalating concerns when required. br br Oversee and monitor picking operations within your designated area, ensuring safety, accuracy, and performance targets are achieved in line with company expectations. br br Ensure the accurate receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods using warehouse management systems and scanners, maintaining high levels of customer service and operational efficiency. br br Operate Counterbalance, VNA and LLOP equipment safely to load, unload, and move palletised goods, including placing pallets into racking locations. br br Maintain stock accuracy and control through effective warehouse processes and adherence to company policies and procedures. br br Conduct routine warehouse checks, including inspections of colleagues, MHE, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. br br Drive compliance with all safety, operational, and housekeeping procedures, maintaining a clean, organised warehouse and ensuring equipment remains in good working order. br br Engage with team members to encourage best practice, identify and resolve operational challenges, and support the achievement of productivity targets. br br Take proactive steps to identify and resolve system, equipment, or facility issues, escalating where necessary to minimise operational disruption. br br Complete all required documentation accurately, report defects promptly, and liaise effectively with transport and distribution teams to ensure seamless operational coordination. br br Support, coach, and develop team members through regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback. br br Provide clear shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations and effective communication between teams. br br Requirements: Valid Counterbalance, VNA and LLOP licences are preferred, but full training can be provided. br br Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams. br br Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality. br br Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment. br br Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately complete paperwork and use warehouse systems. br br Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment. br br Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd?
