The role of NHS England in EPRR relates to potentially disruptive threats outlined in the National Security Risk Assessment and leading the NHS response, as required, during emergency situations. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Trainee EPRR Officer in the EPRR Team. The post holder will form a dynamic team and be key in delivering the work programme and ensuring the Organisation is prepared for and can respond to emergencies.  It is Trainee position starting at Band 5 and moving to Band 6 on successful completion of a qualificationin Resilience and Emergency professionals. Main duties of the job To provide support to the Trust in fulfilling the requirements of its statutory obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA). Under the act the Trust is to ensure it has robust plans for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response, including business continuity, critical and major incidents. Additionally, the Trust must meet the core standards for EPRR as set out in the NHS England EPRR Framework. The post holder will support the head of EPRR with the EPRR work programme, ensuring the trust complies with all relevant legislation and frameworks.     Job overview We are looking to appoint a new Consultant to the Rehab Service working in Braeburn House, Salford. Braeburn house is a 28-bed male HDU. This service was established in 2016 and has undergone significant refurbishment. It is a partnership working between GMMH and Elysium.  Main duties of the job The post holder will become involved in the weekly rehab referral meeting and may require to be involved in assessment of new patients. . The post holder will provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team. They will attend ward rounds during the week at designated times. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and have a role with respect to The Mental Health Act – they will be involved in section 12 work, attend tribunals and section renewal meetings. It is anticipated that the post holder will be responsible for 8 inpatients. The post holder will lead the CPA meetings and be actively involved with the team in care planning and risk assessment. They will take a lead with regards to capacity assessments and best interest meetings. The post holder will become involved in the weekly rehab referral meeting and may require to be involved in assessment of new patients who may be more complex and or with physical health issues. They will be involved in undergraduate teaching for medical students from Manchester University medical school. There will be an opportunity for involvement in problem base learning and to become an OSCE examiner. This entails providing consultation to external teams to enhance risk formulation and management strategies to enable care to be delivered in the least restrictive setting, and to aid community reintegration by offering specialist forensic follow-up including forensic psychological interventions.  Main duties of the job The successful candidate will join the wider SCFT multidisciplinary team consisting of a consultant psychologist, consultant psychiatrist, assistant psychologists, CPNs, senior nurse, advanced clinical practitioner, clinical engagement workers and operational colleagues. You will: Contribute to the MDT forensic consultation process. Develop and sustain close working relationships with non-forensic teams. Deliver 1:1 and/or group interventions, as required. Engage in research, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives, as agreed by the Consultant Psychologist, to support the SCFTs efficacy and ongoing development.
