    We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport team at our Oldham site on a full time permanent basis!Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 per annum.Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.As a Transport Planner you will oversee the day to day planning of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer. Key Duties of a Transport Planner:Subcontracting and planning orders out of multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.Planning daily workload for a fleet: vehicles based on and off site.Dealing with queries and issues by telephone, fax and email from our customers, sub-contract hauliers and warehousing sites. Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times.Maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that arise.Support the fleet and driver training team as and when required.Complete pre and post de-brief for all driver shifts.Deliver effective, professional and timely internal and external communications.
    Qualifications

    Be able to demonstrate a high level of transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment.Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale.Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit both the Company and our customer.Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a small friendly team, and under own initiative.Knowledge of SAP, BPCS and Road Runner would be advantageous.

You will play a vital role in maintaining the stock integrity within the warehouse.  Key Duties of a Stock Controller:Liaise with management and operational staff to ensure accuracy of received and despatched loads.Manage, in conjunction with the Receipt and Despatch Team, the problem pallet area.Accurately amend pickfaces to maintain stock integrity ensuring all checks are completed first.Hold and Release process.Provide stock traceability information as and when required for reasons such as recalls etc.Fully investigate and report accurately all short shipments.Completion of daily reports required on a daily and weekly basis.Managing multi client and multi customer queries.Assist Stock Management with investigations.Any additional responsibilities such as handovers, missing pallet investigations, damage control, email queries and samples.
    Qualifications

As well as leading and developing the Depot Support team ensuring site requirements are achieved.Key Duties of a Stock & Systems Integrity Controller:All differences between SAP & WMS to be investigated and reconciled on a daily basis.All failed IDOC’s sent from Autostore to SAP to be reprocessed.Ensure that no pallets are in transit for greater than 24 hours and that ultimately all pallets reach their final destination.Ensure all relevant Autostore alarms are monitored and actioned in a timely manner.Month end reporting in conjunction with the Depot Support Manager.Ensure KPI targets are maintained – taking appropriate action to ensure compliance.Management of disposal and animal feed loads.System testing for new releases.Ensure contractual obligations are met with regards to hi bay check processes.
