    Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team based in Crawley. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will ensure the timely loading and unloading of shipments, proper inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility Manage materials handling processes, including stacking, organizing, and storing inventory accurately Assist with shipping and receiving procedures by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Maintain the warehouse management system (WMS) by updating inventory records and tracking stock movements Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency Support with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch Conduct regular safety checks, follow proper lifting techniques for heavy loads, and adhere to health and safety regulations Requirements Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling practices Reach licence or Counterbalance licence obtained in the last 5 years is essential Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for shipping labels, measurements, and inventory counts Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is preferred Working Hours Monday-Thursday- 07:25AM-4:00PM Friday- 07:30AM-12:30PM Join us in a role where your skills make a tangible impact! Classes 1-9 including explosives and radioactive material), sensitive and prohibited items to clients sites in accordance with ADR legislation and the Companys Security Plan adhering to strict daily schedules, across various locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant road safety and transportation regulations. Responsibilities Daily DfT vehicle defect checks (via PDAs) and completion of check sheets. Daily MHE and equipment checks. Familiarisation/preparation / planning of routes to scheduled collection and delivery sites as determined by the Lead Operations Co-Ordinator departments route plans/movement plans. For European journeys this will include referring to the FTA European Road Transport Guide to ensure compliancy with country specific driving regulations. Application of ADR regulations, Aviation Security Regulations, Section 5 regulations, Security Sensitive assets movement regulations and Customer Specific instructions for example delivery to named person only and necessary escalation if named person not available.
