On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting a great candidate to assist with painting and sandblasting operations.This is a full-time, temporary position (1 month) that primarily involves material handling of large pieces and prepping parts for paint application. Pay Rate: $/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days: 7:am – 3:pm
Responsibilities: Material handling with use of Tow Motor and Overhead Crane
Sandblast parts to prepare surfaces for painting
Assist painters with hanging, moving, and staging parts
Wash and clean parts as required
Operate manual or electric pallet trucks to move skids and materials
Support safe operation of paint booth and related equipment
Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements
Assist with other production tasks as assigned Requirements: Valid Overhead Crane and Tow Motor License; experience required.
Able to wear PPE properly (Respirator)
Basic knowledge of compresses air, paint guns, and sand blasters
2-3 years experience working in a manufacturing setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to perform physical work (standing, lifting, bending, reaching)
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
High School education or GED equivalent
Able to communicate effectively in English
