    JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer REPORTING TO: Quality Manager DIVISION: Civil Engineering LOCATION: Didcot, Oxfordshire CONTRACT: Permanent BENEFITS: Pension, Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance Scheme, Car Allowance + more Job Summary We are seeking a number of proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineers to support the delivery of a multimillion pound project in Didcot. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and help maintain a culture of excellence across all project phases. Job Description The Quality Engineer shall; Implement the QA/QC management system at site Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site. Coordinate with the clients representative on all quality matters Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards Participate in the site internal and external site audits Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over to client Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel Elaborating inspection and test programme Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current. This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Quality Engineer and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals. Personal Specification Essential Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Proven experience in a quality-related role within the construction or civil engineering sector. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards. Experience with quality audits (internal and external). Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
