    FLEET INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICE ENGINEER LEVEL 2 - HORNSEY DEPOT Are you a skilled individual in a maintenance field?  Do you want to work in a rewarding industry?  Here at GTR, we are looking for a Service Engineer to join our amazing team based out of our Hornsey Depot.  This role involves carrying out repair work and routine maintenance to specification across our depot infrastructure. This will also involve fault finding across our depots, then rectifying the faults found.  For this role, we are looking for someone who is a skilled and experience with maintenance work , and has an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering related field.  Skills and experience required : Served an apprenticeship or equivalent skills/development programme or transferable experience in an engineering field equivalent to NVQ Level 3    Be physically fit and able to pass a medical to engineering standards   Be able to pass DP Track and PTS course unless specifically exempt   Be willing to learn new skills appropriate to train maintenance   Be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics    Fault finding on both single and 3 phase system    Familiar with all large plant and machinery   Must posses a valid driving licence    Competent to carry out fault finding on various types of plant equipment and machinery    Familiar with building services, low voltage AC/DC electrical equipment, water, sewage, hydraulic and pneumatic systems   Competent in diagnosing electrical and pneumatic control system faults   Carry out PGI and Safety Tours    Working Outstations or working from other depots – being mobile    What we can offer you : Final salary pension Free travel on GTR and sister groups (family included for leisure) 75% off travel on other train operating companies (family included) Benefits package Read Less

As a Sales Assistant GPR you will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service each and every time. You will often be the first point of contact our customers will meet on their journey and it is therefore a vital role for making our customers' day! Due to the shift times you must live in the local area and have available independent transport to ensure that you arrive at the station for the early shift as required as there may not always be a train service available. All stations based roles may involve standing for long periods of time and working shifts including weekends and bank holidays. On a day to day basis you will be in the Ticket Office or on the station proactively finding the right ticket for our customers while delivering excellent customer service to new and regular customers. We have the latest computer based ticketing system which is able to provide any information our customers may need and has direct access to our intranet.  You'll have the attributes described below to provide the best possible service. You will also be responsible for keeping the station operational and assisting customers where necessary.  Experience / Skills / Requirements A proactive approach coupled with passion and ability to support and develop your team Exceptional levels of customer service, each and every time – you will be a role model for others to follow Demonstrable experience of managing customers effectively in difficult environments. Your day to day duties will include:- Accountable for the effective maintenance of all retail systems and ensuring that accurate reporting is made available to appropriate management teams where issues occur Participate in product development process to ensure any new products can be effectively implemented within our retail systems   Provide support as a technical expert on all retail applications and processes   Provide support in testing new software developments for station retailing equipment to ensure compatibility with our equipment    Act as an ambassador for GTR when attending meetings with other TOCs or suppliers and for the department when attending internal meetings, accurately recording details of meetings and action points raised.   To provide the administration for GTR retail systems, databases and tools to ensure they are kept current and up to date. Also to ensure that all processes are kept up to date or to provide technical assistance in supporting retail related processes developed by other departments Communicate and provide information by relevant methods to assist and enable retail operations and effective service both internally and externally.
