We're looking for a proactive Stock Controller & Warehouse Service Administrator to support our warehouse operations, stock accuracy and customer service functions.This role is approximately 50/50 warehouse-based and administrative. Stock control is the priority, and during quieter customer service periods you'll be expected to move straight onto the warehouse floor to support checks and operational activity.

    Key Responsibilities for Night Transport Operations Co-Ordinator Deliver the night transport plan, ensuring operational efficiency, service levels, and customer requirements are consistently met.Dispatch drivers with appropriate vehicles, workloads, and clear instructions, adjusting plans in real time where required.Monitor live operations, proactively resolving issues and making sound decisions to maintain performance and fleet utilisation targets.Act as the on-site overnight point of contact for the customer, providing timely updates and managing expectations professionally.Ensure full compliance with driver hours, working time regulations, company policies, and safety standards.Conduct driver briefings/debriefings, site audits, and initial incident investigations, escalating where necessary.Maintain accurate real-time updates across transport management and vehicle tracking systems, including job status and resource allocation.Support drivers overnight as the first point of contact, providing guidance on diversions, access issues, breakdowns, and operational challenges while ensuring effective shift handovers.
    About You We're looking for someone who brings:Proven experience in transport planning, logistics operations, or a similar fast-paced operational environment.Strong understanding of transport compliance, driver hours legislation, and working time regulations.Confident decision-maker with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships professionally.Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using transport management and vehicle tracking systems.Able to work independently on night shifts, taking ownership of operational performance.Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to anticipate issues and prevent service disruption.
