Travel: UK-wide, working away up to nights per weekHam Baker Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for a hands‑on Installation Site Supervisor to lead on-site mechanical installation projects across the UK.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and leading teams while still staying close to the practical, technical work. You’ll be the key presence on site, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to top-quality standards.If you’re motivated, safety-conscious, and ready to develop towards middle management, this role offers excellent exposure to operational, commercial, and client‑facing experience. What you will be doing: Installation, Servicing & CommissioningLead and coordinate mechanical installation, servicing, and commissioning tasks.Ensure all work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.Take ownership of your projects, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.Health, Safety & ComplianceChampion a safe working environment at all times.Follow all company procedures, RAMS, CDM regulations, and industry standards.Conduct risk assessments and produce clear method statements.Maintain, inspect, and calibrate safety equipment.Reporting & DocumentationProduce clear project updates and photographic documentation.Manage tooling, vehicles, and materials, including reconciliations.Site ResponsibilitiesIdentify and escalate delays, risks, or issues promptly.Support planning and monitoring of work activities.Promote efficient site operations and minimise material waste.Continuous Improvement & Business AwarenessSuggest new methods, innovations, or efficiency improvements.Support cost control, customer satisfaction, and overall project success.Represent Ham Baker professionally and maintain excellent client relationships.Teamwork & BehaviourLead by example and support your team on site.Maintain a positive, flexible approach (especially when working away).Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.About You:We’d love to hear from you if you have:Proven experience in an installation or site supervision roleStrong mechanical fitting ability or hands‑on engineering background within the water industry.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsSolid understanding of Health & Safety, including CDMExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA flexible, proactive attitude with willingness to travel/stay awayStrong reliability, professionalism, and commitment to developmentCompetence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookA full UK driving licenceDesirable (training can be provided): NVQ Level Construction Supervisor (or equivalent), IOSH, CSCS/CPCS, PASMA, IPAF, Confined Space, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid.What We Can Offer in Return:With an impressive order book of over £ billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
