Overview Were looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our global SOX programme. Based in our Global Accounting Centre in Glasgow, youll work closely with senior stakeholders and our US Accounting Centre of Excellence in Chicago. Youll ensure our SOX framework is robust, compliant, and continuously improving. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and innovative organisation. How you'll make an impact Manage the global SOX programme, ensuring timely delivery of the annual cycle. Lead SOX scoping, risk assessments, and control design to improve financial reporting quality. Maintain high-quality SOX documentation and manage testing processes. Evaluate control deficiencies and drive timely remediation plans. Collaborate with internal and external auditors on SOX matters. Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on risks, control issues, and recommendations. Drive process improvements, focusing on quality, standardisation, and automation. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly while contributing to our business growth. As a Credit Control Analyst, youll be responsible for ensuring that Gallagher receives payments from businesses and customers in a timely manner. Youll handle credit assessments, negotiate payment plans, and maintain accurate financial records. Your role will be pivotal in mitigating risks, maximising profits, and supporting our stakeholders. How you'll make an impact Chase outstanding premiums from clients and or brokers (both direct and business-to-business). Manage company debt in line with policies to achieve key performance targets. Produce and issue regular client statements of accounts. Maintain accurate client and business records. Escalate issues to your Team Leader within reasonable timescales. Reconcile and settle debtor and creditor ledger balances. Assist with resolving unallocated cash and provide feedback on mis-postings. Support the business with collection process queries. Hold forums with stakeholders to address and resolve issues promptly. Provide updates on outstanding premiums and deliver monthly debtors status reports. Handle and process payment requests in line with Gallagher policy. Facilitate training and support for less experienced team members. Ensure compliance with Gallaghers Professional Standards Manual and all relevant regulations. About You Prior experience in credit control or strong customer service (call centre, sales administration, hospitality, or retail) experience is preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Empathy and the ability to manage challenging conversations. Analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and plan ahead. Overview We are seeking a Senior Account Handler to join our expanding corporate team in Glasgow. At Gallagher, our clients are central to everything we do. Working closely with our Account Executives and wider team, you will support existing clients and new business opportunities by applying your technical knowledge and communicating clearly and confidently. How you'll make an impact Prepare accurate documentation for new clients, ensuring their insurance requirements are clearly understood and reflected. Obtain renewal terms, research suitable market alternatives and prepare client presentations for review with Account Executives. Coordinate renewal quotes and mid-term adjustments for existing clients, ensuring client information is recorded accurately and updated promptly on internal systems. Manage insurer queries relating to client policies, including confirming cover, processing policies and following up on outstanding documentation. Review policy documentation received from insurers, checking accuracy before bringing to Client. Handle account queries and credit control matters, escalating any concerns to Account Managers in a timely manner. Understand and apply relevant legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements when supporting clients and managing insurance contracts. About You Experience in larger commercial or corporate insurance across multiple classes of business would be highly regarded. Cert CII qualification is preferred; progress towards Dip CII or ACII would be advantageous but is not essential. Proven ability to work to targets within a regulated and measurable framework, consistently achieving agreed service standards. Strong risk awareness when handling client information, with the judgement to identify potential issues and seek guidance where required. Excellent relationship-building skills, with a strong client service focus and confident communication style. Organised, proactive and process-driven, with the ability to plan ahead, meet deadlines and analyse information effectively. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the initiative to support colleagues and contribute to team success. Fully proficient in Microsoft Office.
