The centre also boasts an amazing café overlooking the beach, providing a focal point for the community.We’re looking for a Senior Recreation Assistant to join our dynamic team!You will lead and support the Recreation Assistant team, ensuring smooth daily operations across our Sport & Leisure facilities. From pool supervision and equipment setup to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, you’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional service.Key Responsibilities: Supervise lifeguards and dry-side team members Ensure customer safety and respond to incidents professionally Oversee equipment setup and maintenance Administer first aid and uphold hygiene standards Deputise as Duty Manager when required You’ll also step into various roles across the facility, including crèche, soft play, birthday party hosting and coaching.In the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date. However, aside from selling memberships to new prospects this role is also about being the start of the membership retention process for that individual too. We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Lifeguard but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their colleagues.In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers through offering a friendly, clean and safe facilities. Level 1 or 2 certificate in coaching a sport, or another equivalent coaching course. Valid First Aid Certificate. Safeguarding and Child protection. Experience of coaching sports in schools, holiday camps, community clubs and/or on sports development initiatives over a number of years. Experience coaching/ working with children and young people.
