The team’s construction disputes expertise is vast and includes the following areas: infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, waste-water, transport, energy, renewables, flood prevention schemes, commercial, domestic, PFI/PPP, and professional negligence.Your key duties will include:Advising contractors and employers throughout the UK on issues relating to construction and engineering contracts, including disputes about variations to contract works, termination, notices, payment provisions, extensions of time, additional costs, defects, breach of contract claims and professional negligence.Advising contractors and employers in construction disputes in the Court of Session, Sheriff Court, and the Technology and Construction Court, carrying out case investigation and preparation, drafting written pleadings, advising on and negotiating settlements and appearing in court.Advising and representing employers and contractors throughout the UK in Adjudications, Mediations, Arbitrations and Expert Determinations.The ideal candidate for this role should have between NQ – 2 years’ PQE and some experience in contentious construction.
