Deputy Manager Job Overview: (Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)

To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up-to-date
•
To provide leadership to the care staff within Focus Care Link
•
To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager
•
To supervise the care services within Focus Care Link in accordance with agreed standards
•
To carry out Service User needs assessments, care/support plans and risk assessments Attending Service User’s first call to introduce the Care/Support Worker to the Service User.
•
To organise and attend Service User reviews, including reviewing and updating of needs assessment, care/support plan and risk assessment documents.
•
To assist Care Coordinators to allocate unassigned calls as appropriate. (1)
•
To allocate all unassigned calls during on-call hours and, where visits can’t be assigned, undertake the visit personally. (2)
•
To ensure that all changes to care schedules are reported, without delay, to the Care-Coordinator. (3)
•
Undertake on-call duties as directed and record/report all on-call activity to the office if necessary. (4)
•
Undertake field based training to ensure Care/Support Workers are working within their competency level.
•
To ensure all reporting and recording documents are kept up-to-date.
•
To liaise closely with colleagues and other care professionals. To assess Care/Support Workers. To actively provide care as and when required. Location:
•
Focus Care Link, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice. Working Hours:
•
5 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with the manager.
