    As a Billing Assistant, you will be…Working as part of the UK billing team to draft and finalise invoicesIssuing invoices in accordance with UK and EU VAT regulations.Working with a range of different departments and clients issuing invoices in various stylesEnsuring that all bills are raised in accordance with agreed billing instructions or client requirements eg retainer bills.Understanding exception rates on clients and matters and from time-to-time coordinating adjustments to fee earner rates on client/matter filesCoordinating write-offs to all also include time and disbursement transfers, time divisions, revaluations and file closures.
    A bit about youCan develop strong working relationships with the billing team learning all billing aspects relating to the different types of billing/e-billing across the firm.Requires strong understanding of the billing procedures in a professional services firm and detailed knowledge of alternative billing arrangements, SAR and VAT issues impacting on billing.Must be able to communicate effectively with individual Partners, Fee Earners and PAs in a professional and personable manner. This is a key role for the visibility of the accounts team and so must always be professional and presentable.Needs to be able to provide value and quality in all preparation, drafting and finalisation of invoices issued.Needs to have strong numeracy and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.Needs to have good experience of using Microsoft applications and using different billing platforms.Strong ability and work ethic to meet deadlines under pressure.
