    About the role: As a Residential Childcare Worker you'll play a vital role in delivering daily care, emotional support, and meaningful interactions that help each young person grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. Working within the home's Therapeutic Model, you'll collaborate closely with our in-house therapeutic practitioners to ensure every young person receives the consistent, personalised support they need to make lasting, positive changes in their lives.
    Key Responsibilities:Support children and young people with a range of learning disabilities in their everyday routinesPromote independence and encourage participation in household and community activitiesHelp manage personal care needs where required, with dignity and respectBuild trusting relationships and provide emotional supportFollow individual care plans and contribute to their developmentWork effectively as part of a consistent and professional care team, including undertaking sleep-in, shift/rota work (including weekends)Maintain detailed and accurate records
    What We're Looking For:Experience working with children, young people or adults with learning disabilities NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)Empathetic, patient, and positive attitudeStrong communication and teamwork skillsA calm and proactive approach to challengesFull UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)

    Rodenhurst School provides individualised SEN education within a tailored therapeutic learning environment specialising in SEMH needs.
    We are a family feel school who have recently been rated Good in all areas by OFSTED and are proud of the strong bonds we have established to support our pupils and to have been recognised as encompassing Family Care's mission of 'significantly improving the lives of children and young people'.
    We cater for up to 15 pupils, all of whom have an EHC plan. And are looking for a dynamic and creative primary teacher to join our dedicated team.     The role involves supporting these young people with their education and enabling them to be the best they can be and supporting them to discover and achieve towards their future aspirations.
