Duties include supervisory assistance in ensuring the safety, care, welfare and behaviour of pupils while in school premises and in particular in social and dining areas. Applicants should preferably be able to demonstrate experience in the work areas covered by the post. Core Duties To prepare and portion all food for practical lessons on a daily basis. To ensure that all prepared and portioned food and equipment is placed and set up in the appropriate kitchen for the start of each practical lesson. Provide a weekly summary for the department on the number of dishes, times and rooms for each practical lesson in the various practical rooms. Responsibility for collating all dishes/recipes and placing orders for all perishable and non – perishable food for the Food and Consumer Technology Department and other events or functions within the school. Record all food orders and update weekly To liaise with suppliers, take charge of receiving food deliveries, check orders and safe storage of perishable and non-perishable items. Stock rotation practices should be put in place and are maintained.  To ensure all invoices are signed for, copied and given to the school accounts department. To supervise pupils during their breaks in the social spaces. To assist with office duties within the Faculty You will work 20 hours per week on a term time basis.
