In this role, you will work as part of multidisciplinary team of experts to solve complex metallurgical, materials science, and materials engineering problems and advise clients on their product and process lifecycles, with a focus on failure analysis, performance, and reliability. You will lead projects, identify new clients, build on relationships with existing clients, and develop new business in related areas. You will be responsible for Using expertise in metallurgical engineering and materials science to solve diverse and often complex materials problems affecting a range of clients Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunitiesAttracting, developing, and enhancing new projects and clientsDeveloping and mentoring staff in both technical and business areasProviding project management and project budget oversightLeading hands-on failure analyses, materials characterization, metallurgical analysis, and field inspections, and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders You will have the following skills and qualifications . in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or related disciplineProven track record of business generation and attracting new and repeat clients or fundingStrong background in materials characterization techniques (. metallography, SEM, EDS, FIB, and/or X-ray radiography/diffraction, and failure analysis (. fractography, metallurgical analyses, Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertiseAdept management abilities and demonstrated project management experienceAbility to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projectsStrong commitment to professional developmentChartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Engineering Council (UK)
