Expleo Engineering are seeking a Powertrain Electrification Compliance Consultant to review the latest vehicle legal requirements and work to interpretate and cascade these requirements and certification processes to component owners, providing advise so they succeed compliance. This will be an inside IR35 contract, for an initial 6 months, working via ourselves at our clients site in Warwickshire. Responsibilities of the Powertrain Electrification Compliance Consultant include: Providing type and non-type approval legislation advice and interpretation on all aspects of High Voltage components. Advising on the Homologation of the high-voltage battery components and the Homologation of Crash and Safety. Guiding Off-board and on-board Charging Systems and Electrified powertrain OBD requirements. Background, skills and experience required for the Powertrain Electrification Compliance Consultant role: Degree level educated within a related Engineering discipline. Experience within the legal compliance of High Voltage components into vehicles. Familiarity with automotive legislation covering the global market. Knowledge of power electronics, battery systems and e-Motors. Familiarity with high-voltage powertrain and architecture plus software development knowledge in an Automotive environment.   • Connected Car Tester

We are seeking a Connected Car Tester, on behalf of our client, a globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The role is based within a major Automotive Research and Development facility in Bedfordshire.     Expleo are working with a major Automotive Manufacturer in the UK, our client is looking for an Automotive Passive Safety Engineer, to join their research and development facility. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of development engineers, on an ongoing contract basis. The Passive Safety Engineer is responsible for passive crash safety performance, conducting safety performance planning, test planning, and analysis of CAE and physical test results, then producing test analysis reports. The successful Passive Safety Engineer will ideally be degree educated in a relevant subject matter, experienced in passive safety performance, with knowledge of safety restraints systems, body engineering or electrical architecture and systems. You will have an understanding of vehicle passive safety design concepts, hold experience in interpreting, executing and analysing a variety of Regulation and Consumer based passive safety crash tests and be familiar with automotive simulation and analysis tools.
