Childcare Solicitor, 3+ Years PQE, West Midlands, £60,000+ (DOE) – A new opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a friendly and supportive team. REF:3917. THE ROLE: * This is a dynamic role involving high-quality legal work, direct collaboration with social care professionals, and regular advocacy in the Family Courts. * You will manage a varied and complex caseload of public law childcare proceedings, supporting Children’s Services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. * Handle complex and sensitive cases including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, neglect, and multi‑agency disputes. * Conduct advocacy in Family Proceedings Courts and County Courts. * Prepare court documents including applications, threshold documents, witness statements, and case management orders. SKILLS REQUIRED: * Applications are sought from Childcare Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 Years PQE. * Proven experience handling childcare/public law caseloads. * Experience of advocacy in family proceedings. * Strong understanding of safeguarding law and local government children’s services. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage complex, high‑pressure workloads effectively. * Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers.
