We are looking for Our Air & Sea division has experienced remarkable growth over the past two years, and we’re not slowing down! We’re expanding our UK team and looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join us in the North of England. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Air & Sea Sales Manager (North) and play a key part in building and maintaining strong relationships with an existing portfolio of clients. At the same time, you’ll maximise sales opportunities by identifying and winning new business. What you will be doing as Business Development Manager Build and maintain a thriving customer base to expand revenue streams and secure lasting partnerships. Organise your sales activities with precision, ensuring impactful engagement through calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings. Identify, establish, and nurture key accounts to unlock their full potential. Promote our brand with passion and deliver an exceptional customer experience every step of the way. Self-generate appointments and convert them into significant revenue gains. Master the ins and outs of Europa’s products and services to deliver informed and effective solutions. Offer expert guidance to address client concerns, resolve objections, and ensure timely follow-ups. Take ownership of gross profit growth across various modes, aligning with our structured sales strategy. Stay ahead of trends by participating in market campaigns and understanding relevant literature. We are looking for An experienced airfreight export operator to effectively manage the end-to-end operations for assigned airfreight customers, complying with all operational and legal requirements. Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth operations process for our clients. You will be required to occasionally cover warehouse staff too which will mean building pallets. We are currently looking for an experienced Sea freight Import Operator to support the team and operational requirements of the business through excellent internal relationships and attention to detail. You will be working closely with the accounts and operational colleagues to ensure that files are maintained to a high standard ensuring sell rates and costings are inputted correctly. You will be involved in the direct communication with suppliers via email and phone, along with the utilisation of Europa software. Our Ideal Person: Previous experience in Seafreight is essential with working knowledge / experience in import operations Customs clearance knowledge Excellent communicator and dedication to excellent customer service are required Attention to detail with a passion for customer service is critical to this role Time management skills are essential as are communication (phone and writing) skills In this role you will: Efficiently and accurately operate all owned Sea freight import / export files. Be responsible for proactive communication both internally and externally, providing updates for agents, customers, Customer Service and Business Development managers through phone and email. Respond in a timely manner to challenges or concerns from stakeholders within the required turnaround time. Ensure problematic tasks that are held for any reason are rectified in a timely manner. Manage and arrange customs clearance and delivery booking processes for import files. Ensure that excellent and consistent service levels are met at all times. Check invoicing batches to ensure files are accurately costed and invoiced. Investigate any matters of lost or damaged cargo and liaise with the relevant internal stakeholders. Be aware of customer credit limits on accounts in-line with company policy. Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager, commensurate with the role.
