We are looking for A Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and services across the organisation. Work closely with the in-house SOC team to monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards and procedures, leveraging tools such as Prisma Cloud to automate pipeline security checks. Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling for cloud-based applications and services. Manage identity and access management (IAM), encryption and key management systems. Respond to and investigate cloud security incidents and breaches. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 27001 and GDPR. Stay up to date with emerging cloud security technologies and trends. Our Ideal Person 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or a related role. Hands-on experience with Azure (primary) and AWS platforms. Strong understanding of cloud-native security tools such as Azure Security Center and Prisma Cloud. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools e.g. Terraform and HashiCorp. Knowledge of container security, including Docker and Kubernetes. Relevant certifications (e.g. CCSP, AWS Certified Security, Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are desirable. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects. Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach. Effective communication skills, the ability to explain complex security issues to technical and non-technical audiences.     What you’ll be doing: Leading and supporting a variety of IT security projects, ensuring secure, timely, and effective delivery Managing and maintaining cybersecurity tools to ensure strong, up-to-date defences across both on-prem and cloud environments (cloud being a key area of focus) Implementing, configuring, and regularly updating a wide range of security toolsets including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, and cloud security solutions Collaborating closely with IT, Development, and third-party teams to embed security into all aspects of our operations Conducting regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations Monitoring emerging threats, including zero-day vulnerabilities and newly published CVEs, and evaluating their relevance and impact Investigating and responding to security incidents, identifying root causes, and driving continuous improvements Shaping and delivering engaging security awareness training across the business Advising on the security implications of new technologies and contributing to long-term strategic decisions Providing day-to-day support on security-related issues and ensuring changes follow robust change control processes Assisting with alert investigations and escalations from our SOC team
    Our ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar hands-on security role A solid understanding of network, infrastructure, and application security principles Practical experience with a range of security tools and platforms, both on-premises and in cloud environments Familiarity with key industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS The ability to assess risk, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective mitigation strategies Experience responding to security incidents and performing thorough root cause analysis Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences Hands-on experience configuring and managing tools in the cloud security space Experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including previous configuration work Proficiency in the day-to-day management and monitoring of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tooling Experience with vulnerability management processes, including tool administration and coordination of remediation efforts across teams Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer) are a plus A proactive, problem-solving approach with attention to detail
