    The RoleAs Headteacher, you’ll lead Esland Daven School with vision and integrity, ensuring high standards of education and care for our pupils. Reporting to the Education Director, you’ll work closely with the governing board, school staff, and wider Esland team to create a safe, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities: Establish and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction. Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and statutory frameworks. Oversee systems, policies, and processes for safe and effective operation. Monitor progress against school aims and objectives, driving continuous improvement. Manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently. Liaise with local authorities on SEND and EHCP reviews. Support Home Managers and outreach teams to deliver tailored education packages. Promote wellbeing through collaboration with clinical teams and teacher mentoring. Lead on safeguarding, ensuring it underpins every decision. Deliver CPD and line manage teaching staff to maintain high-quality teaching and learning.

    Woodside Farm is a beautifully renovated property based in the countryside outside Shifnal, providing an excellent setting for a therapeutic assessment home.  Using a trauma-informed approach, the team provides intervention care that supports emotional healing and personal development for up to two young people at a time.

    Over a 12 week placement, our assessment strategy helps us understand what is truly right for a young person and their needs

    Every placement provides PACE principles, therapeutic care, access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme.

    The work and commitment of our teams, helps us to determine what support a young person requires and defines their next steps.
    Key duties of a Children’s Adventure Care Worker:We are looking for a nurturing and supportive person, who can give our children high levels of therapeutic care and help them to achieve amazing outcomes.  In your role, you will:

    Requirements for a SEN Teacher: Essential:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4 and across a range of subjects Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

    🕒 What You’ll Do

    Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children in a safe, nurturing environment. Help shape brighter futures through consistency, compassion, and resilience. Work as part of a dedicated team in a 365-day service, with advance rotas and long shifts (8am–11pm) including sleep-in nights.
    Annual salary: £39,760 – £41,760, depending on your qualifications and experience — this includes an average of 8 sleep-in shifts per month.
