We have an exciting new opportunity for an intermediate Electrical Design Engineer interested in decarbonisation projects to join our Carbon Shift business unit. Our Carbon Shift consulting business is focussed on the delivery of realisable climate action and net zero plans and is supported by delivery capability in heat decarbonisation, regeneration, Facilities Management, Project delivery, EVs, smart buildings and renewables. Carbon Shift has developed a strong expertise and client base around net zero and energy transition and is now moving expand this offer into offering solutions to the broader climate adaptation and resilience challenge. Key activities The postholder will support the development of renewable heat and power projects. This role will focus on the engineering and design development of commercial / utility-scale renewable electricity and heat projects, working within a team of multidisciplinary engineers. To prepare electrical design solutions for retrofit decarbonisation projects, new-build energy centres and heat networks, taking a RIBA 1 brief to RIBA 4 technical design. To carry out electrical load assessments and size switchgear, distribution systems and equipment To carry out calculations using proprietary software, and understand various installation and reference methods used in calculations.  To prepare design models, utilising proprietary design software, such as AutoCAD and REVIT To utilise application specific software, such as PVSyst and Dialux Prepare calculations and engineering analysis for the purpose of validating simulation models, confirming systems design requirements and performances Work within a multidisciplinary design team, collaborating with mechanical, structural / civil, architectural, energy and specialist designers to produce coordinated designs Support market research to identify new and emerging technology / design innovations and assess suitability for application to projects Support technical options appraisals to qualify / quantify best available techniques for low carbon systems Prepare design / functional specifications and contribute to tender scopes Lead / contribute to Design Stage Reports and associated customer-facing documents Undertake Designer Risk Assessments to identify and minimise health, safety and environmental risks associated with designs prepared With support from colleagues, understand and comply with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements applicable to design With support from colleagues, understand and account for physical and environmental constraints associated with design processes and outputs Preparation and processing of Distribution Network Operator applications Where applicable, work alongside BIM specialists to provide relevant modelling/design information Undertake non-invasive engineering surveys to support and validate design processes Interpret survey information from others and accommodate within design Undertake technical support during construction and commissioning phases Skills, qualifications & experience An advanced level of understanding of low-voltage electrical systems design (general) Good knowledge of British Standards, design guides and the Building Regulations Good knowledge of BS: and IET technical guidance notes.  Aware of health and safety and CDM regulations. Is able to produce schematic layouts and single line diagrams for electrical systems from concept to detailed design (with assistance from senior engineers) Knowledge of lighting, small power / switchgear, data, fire alarm, security and access control systems in context to the role.     EQUANS are looking for a HVAC Engineer working on our Knowsley Schools contract in Liverpool. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.General Overview:
    Accountable for ensuring all Spaces, Environmental/Temperature Control rooms and equipment are available for end users, keeping down times to an absolute minimum during breakdowns.
    Fault find on all A/C units, refrigeration systems and chiller plant on site.
    Ensure the sites F-Gas logbook is kept up to date, and all losses, recoveries and additions are recorded appropriately.
    Be responsible for the maintenance and operational upkeep of portable and fixed air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. 
    Plan, oversee and work with all subcontractors during service visits associated with Refrigeration systems.
    Recover, repair, pressure test, vacuum dehydrate, charge and re-commission A/C units as required. 
    Adaptable and able to undertake any other engineering task as required by the Account Manager or Technical Services Manager.
    Ensure that PPM and Reactive jobs are processed. 
    Defects are diagnosed and reported.
    Faults are repaired in a timely manner and in budget.
    Complete daily job sheets and PPM logs via PDA/tablet in real time using CAFM systems.
    Responsibilities will also include being a member of the on-call rota for the contract. Client/Customer
    Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
    Coordinate quotations with the contract manager
    Use preferred suppliers where possible

    Helpdesk - PPM 
    Support the Helpdesk: in servicing and breakdowns 
    Be available for out of hours call-out support for the contract Compliance 
    Achieve appointment as Refrigeration Responsible and Competent Person
    Complete all operational Logs, F-gas reports and job sheets via CAFM and compliance systems
    Production of information for quotations
    Production and collation of Condition / Dilapidation Reports
    Complete report accident, near misses returns in a timely manner
    Ensure the site supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur
    Completion of electronic reports for compliance SHEQ
    Ensure you work to company health and safety policy
    Ensue PPE is safe to use
    Ensure your test equipment is within calibration 
    Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works Impact:
    Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable air conditioning engineer who can work on own initiative or within a team environment. Produce high quality reports of their findings. The role will involve being the face of Equans, so smart appearance and being able to discuss findings with others is required.
    Carry out the defined planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations within the School Buildings..
    Ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) are in place.
    Issuing of relative working permits.
    Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works on plant.
    Attend, diagnose and repair faults having due regard to customer care in this specific environment.
    Carry out proactive plant monitoring activities to ensure efficient utilisation of plant and equipment
    Interrogation of operational information systems to support daily operations as well as fault diagnosis
    Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently.
    Any other relevant duties that may be required, some of which may be outside normal working hours.
    You will be expected to undertake any training necessary to ensure that you are able to undertake your duties effectively. Complexity:
