As their project workload continues to grow, they are now looking to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across London and North Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and supportive business known for delivering high-quality projects and fostering long-term relationships with clients. Role Overview: Manage the successful delivery of multiple mechanical fit-out projects from inception to completion. Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners. Ensure all work is delivered to the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards. Drive progress in line with programme and financial targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Support project delivery through planning, coordination, and problem-solving. Requirements: Proven experience in a Mechanical Contracts Manager role. Background delivering projects within commercial, healthcare, or education sectors. Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services. Excellent leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills. Must be able to commute to projects across London and North East Kent. With a sweet spot of £250k–£1M and the ability to deliver schemes up to £5M, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys early-stage client engagement and shaping projects from the ground up. The company culture is open and progressive – there's no micromanagement, everyone is accessible (including senior leadership), and you'll be trusted to work autonomously while being backed by an experienced in-house team.
The Role: Act as the client's technical advisor during pre-construction, helping shape the vision and advising on feasibility, specification, and rough costings. Take briefs and turn them into deliverable D&B solutions, typically for fast-paced 12-week fit-out projects. Work closely with clients across commercial, education and leisure sectors. Collaborate with the in-house design and project delivery teams post-award. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and help build trust through technical clarity and practical advice. Be involved in early-stage commercial planning to help ensure margin protection and programme alignment. What We're Looking For: Background in mechanical building services, with experience in pre-construction or estimating roles. Strong technical knowledge of design & build fit-out projects. Client-facing, commercially aware, and confident discussing feasibility and high-level costing. Self-sufficient and proactive, able to manage your workload without micromanagement. Ideally familiar with fast-track project timelines and working with a range of public and private clients.
