Could you be our next Street Lighting Operative/Highways Lighting Operative to join the team and drive this success forwards? What will I be doing in this role? This team is responsible for the ongoing streetlighting works in Hampshire and Southampton as part of the South Coast PFI. In a typical day, you could expect to be: Maintaining our streetlighting infrastructure including, but not limited to, streetlights, signs, and subways, including lamp changes, visual inspections, and electrical testing Carry out electrical connections to new street lighting infrastructure Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the public Operating a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP) Attending the emergency standby rota, which consists of being on call to attend emergency call outs out of hours Monday to Sunday Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations What do I need to be successful in the role? We are looking for you to bring your previous experience working in the Highways industry, we would also love you to have: You will have an electrical background and will have completed NVQ Level 2 We work in all weathers, so you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable working in a MEWP above the ground more than 12m We do need you to have a full UK Manual Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations Some of our nice to haves are; We would look for you to hold IPAF/PASMA working at heights training It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition If you are qualified to AM2, City and Guilds 2391 qualification this would be a benefit but not essential Completion of G39/Safe Isolation Training We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the nice to have list. What will I be doing in this role? We are now looking for a new Estimator, to join our successful Work Winning team to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our business. The role will require travel across your region to visit sites and offices as needed. Working both with existing key customers and building new client relationships, you'll be at the forefront of driving our business forward. You'll be responsible for providing quotations for project values ranging from the low £1000s to £500,000+, managing the process from initial enquiry to receipt of order. In a typical day, you could expect to be; Creating and submitting tenders based on drawings, specifications, and industry knowledge. Conducting on-site visits with clients and our operational teams Managing and developing Enerveos relationship with existing key accounts. Cultivating new business relationships with potential clients to expand our network- this includes proactive outreach to potential clients to introduce Enerveos services Assisting in presenting new business proposals to key stakeholders. Facilitating continuous growth of the business through both new and existing client engagements. Working closely with our Operational teams to deliver optimum solutions for clients. Innovating new processes and procedures to strengthen our commercial position in the industry. What do I need to be successful in the role? We would love for you to join us with a background in Street Lighting or Highways, either as an Estimator or an Administrator looking to expand your skillset, but experience in our industry isnt a prerequisite we are open to candidates who display the right skills and behaviours that are transferable to our industry. We would love you to bring the below skills to us: Excellent time management, planning, and project management skills to meet deadlines effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate ideas and proposals. Ability to recognise risk in a proposal, and mitigate accordingly Resilience, attention to detail, and creativity to tackle challenges with confidence. Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in driving projects forward. Capacity to handle high-pressure situations, meet targets, and adhere to guidelines. Exceptional networking and business acquisition skills to foster fruitful relationships. Consistency, dependability, and efficiency to deliver results consistently.
