They should assist with day-to-day responsibilities, overseeing the staff and providing consistent and stable leadership in line with END. values. Financial accountability in supporting the Store manager in managing wage to sales budget, shrinkage and revenue. Maintain workplace safety and provide a healthy environment for staff and customers. You will produce accurate and timely management accounts, ensure clear balance sheet reconciliations, and support the team with analysis and insight. You will cover some of the more complex areas of the balance sheet and costs, working alongside the Senior Management Accountant to drive improvement in processes and controls. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:Perform balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas – including some of the more complex balances – to a high standard, producing additional analysis and constructively challenging balances where required. Develop knowledge of external and internal factors that impact risk areas and use this knowledge to support with understanding the impact on reporting. Posting accruals and prepayments to populate P&L and management information pack. Produce departmental reports and analyse alongside department heads, developing strong partnering relationships and challenging cost trends. Assist with the MI pack, delivering a best-in-class output alongside meaningful narrative. Support Finance Business Partners with preparation of areas of the budget and reforecasts, providing insights on changes in costs and using this understanding to help budget holders and Finance Business Partners to understand variances. Develop and maintain process notes, identifying control risks and implementing changes to enhance the accuracy and monitoring of processes. Identify opportunities for automation and be proactive in seeking these out, working with management to develop business cases as needed. Provide coaching to junior team members, providing support in reviewing their work when required. Be proactive during daily tasks to support process improvements, flagging key risks to management in a timely manner. Ad hoc reporting and related tasks to support the wider team Support on ad hoc projects Who we’re looking for:Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a fast-paced consumer business. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly. Confident in constructively challenging figures, processes and stakeholders at all levels. Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) is advantageous. Commercially astute with a proactive and collaborative approach. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The role ensures the stable and effective operation of these platforms by combining functional analysis with application support, covering incident and request management, functional design and configuration, project and change support, testing, and end-user training, to deliver solutions aligned to business needs and drive operational value. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:Create and maintain application-related operational reports  Complete all work in line with ITIL processes, in particular, Change, Incident, Service Request and Problem Management processes, as defined by IT Service & Operations.  Work with business functions and the DevOps Team to ensure appropriate levels of automation, capacity, availability, security and continuity are in place for all application components.  Execute disaster recovery actions as outlined in DR Plan. Act as the primary point of contact for application-related incidents, service requests, and user inquiries. Provide L2/L3 functional support for D365 F&O, Shopify, Power Platform solutions, and integrated systems. Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, including data, configuration, and process-related problems. Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and system integrators to resolve complex issues within agreed SLAs. Monitor application health, interfaces, and integrations to ensure ongoing stability and performance. Maintain application documentation, including support procedures, configurations, and known issues. Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points, and process improvement opportunities. Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, test cases, UAT plans and solution designs. Configure and optimize application functionality in line with best practices and business objectives. Support system enhancements, upgrades, patches, and releases, including testing (UAT) and deployment readiness. Provide functional guidance and training to end users to improve adoption and effective system usage. Act as a trusted advisor, recommending solutions that balance usability, scalability, and supportability. Work with project team to define development agenda  Lead workshops with stakeholders across the business Work with external consultants in building a coherent solution  Assist in test script definition and support the testing process.  Oversee and support system integrations between D365 F&O, Shopify, Power Platform, and third-party systems. Ensure training plans and training materials support the new platform.  Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and process continuity across integrated platforms. Participate in integration troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Deploy changes using automated CICD process.
