Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a well-established not-for-profit in Glasgow who are seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This is a pivotal role offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a small finance team, driving continuous improvement across finance and grants
Oversee month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting, including audit and tax compliance
Deliver timely and insightful management reporting, forecasts, and budget analysis
Manage payroll, cash flow, treasury, and VAT returns
Maintain and enhance financial controls, systems, and procedures
Support budget holders and non-finance teams with financial training and guidance
Lead the grants programme, including payments, reporting, and impact analysis
Deputise for the Director of Finance & Corporate Services and contribute to strategic planning
About You:
Experience either within a similar role, or perhaps looking for your first step into a Finance Manager role
Have touched on management duties in previous role
Strong technical expertise in financial and management accounting, audit, and controls
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence at all levels
Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change
Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (Sage 50 knowledge desirable)
Experience in the not-for-profit sector and understanding of VAT legislation is a plus
