In this role, our Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians carry out maintenance, fault-finding and repair activities on electrical, control and instrumentation systems to ensure the continuous and safe operation of our gas transmission assets.What do our Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians do? Our Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults to minimise downtime.Calibrate, test, and maintain instrumentation to ensure compliance with operational standards.Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians assist with installation, commissioning, and modifications of E&I equipment.Ensure all work is completed safely, in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety procedures.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Support operational teams during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs.Participating in a standby rota once fully trained, typically 1 week in every 4 or 5, dealing with various faults.  About You

    Key Requirements & Experience

    Time-served apprenticeship (or other recognised training scheme) in an electrical or instrumentation disciplineBTEC National Certificate (or equivalent City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ Level 3) in an electrical or instrumentation disciplineWorked in industries including (but not limited to) FMCG, the broader utilities, military or aviationStrong knowledge of ATEX regulations and hazardous area equipmentStrong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, fault-finding and calibrationFamiliarity with safety management systems and permit-to-work proceduresFull UK car driving licenseIdeally (but not essential), you'll possess an in date certificate in any of the following: CompEx EX01 - 04 Hazardous EquipmentC&G 2391 Inspection & TestingC&G 2377 PAT TestingBS7671 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsCompEx EX01 - 04 Hazardous Equipment Appreciation of systems and equipment associated with other engineering disciplines within the oil and gas (or other similar process) industry - desirableKnowledge of SCADA or control systems - desirable  #garyeci            You have been sent this vacancy list by EC&I Partners.
