The post involves working with community groups and businesses to build on local assets and take forward various exciting projects which seek to develop the economy, the community and the environment of the area.  The post holder will work with businesses, local groups and council colleagues to develop projects for funding from council and external sources working within a committed and ambitious team for the benefit of these areas. We are looking for Social Workers to join our Adult Support and Protection Team to deliver safeguarding practice to individuals at risk in our community. This can include individuals living independently, care home residents, and those supported by partner providers. Working across East Renfrewshire you will be working within a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. This will involve completing Inquiries and Investigations under the ASP Act to ensure the safety and wellbeing of local residents. The role involves undertaking duty work for the team, managing a caseload, devising and implementing Protection Plans when required.  You will have a good understanding of the current health and social care landscape; self-directed support; the value of outcomes focussed supports for people to enable them to live in their communities and recognise the value of forming effective relationships with other professionals and agencies. This includes the importance of our third sector and community partnerships, and the key role they play in supporting individuals across East Renfrewshire. We need kind, caring and compassionate individuals who want to make a difference. If that is you, start your career in care today! No previous experience or qualifications are necessary. All training will be provided by our in-house training team to give you the skills and confidence to enable you to succeed. Our Care at Home service is delivered days a year and we have contracts of 17.5 or 35 hours per week available across the peak operating hours of the service. Shifts are 8am -1pm and/or 5pm -10pm on a 4 days on/4 days off work pattern. If you're not able to commit to a regular work pattern, then please still get in touch, as we can discuss how you could potentially join our bank of staff, who cover absence within the service when the need arises. The hourly rate starts at £15.13 rising to £15.93 per hour. Enhancements of 15% are paid for weekend and evening working.
