As Senior Housekeeper / Cook, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our service users and their families experience a high standard of cleanliness and comfort while at our hospice.Are you:A professional cleaner/housekeeper with experience of supervising a small housekeeping team, or looking to step in to a role offering supervisory responsibilities to further your personal development?

    Responsibilities include:Supervising the daily housekeeping operation, ensuring a high level of cleaning throughout the building and that all tasks are delegated fairly and completed within the agreed timescales and standards.Maintaining appropriate stock levels of cleaning supplies and materials.Prepare and serve meals when required, under the direction of the lead Cook
    The Role:As Senior Housekeeper/Cook you will be essential to delivering a high level of cleanliness throughout the building.     About the Role East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), are seeking an experienced long term ventilation nurse (band 6), to join their clinical nursing team at The Tree House Hospice in Ipswich. This post will involve shift work and will include occasional weekends and night working, so all applicants applying must be able to commit to this. The position is offered on a full-time basis but applicants seeking 30+ hours are welcome to apply. Responsibilities will include; Deliver care on shift as required and ensure that holistic care is family centred, needs led, evidence-based and meets all statutory requirements. Plan and develop, implement and evaluate a specialist LTV service alongside the EACH LTV team and wider multi-disciplinary team - ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care, safety and support. Provide specialist advice, education/training, assessment and care planning and support to health care professionals within EACH and externally. Responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of the LTV service, research and standards of care within EACH. Undertake a range of care tasks and duties, including reassessment of care needs, care requiring the use of technology or specific techniques, administration of medicines and communication and liaison duties. Contribute to the delivery of care on shift including end of life care if required. Mentor new staff in relation to LTV care. Please see attached job description. About the Candidate If you are an enthusiastic and hardworking nurse and want to join the team, then we look forward to hearing from you. All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: RN Child / RSCN / RN Adult / RNLD. Have completed or be willing to complete train the trainer LTV training provided externally. Knowledge of best practice standards for providing long term ventilation to a BCYP. Knowledge of current legislation relating to children & young people including best practice in safeguarding children. Knowledge and understanding of children's palliative care. Experience of using Systm One. Current experience of caring for children with LTV needs in the community/ hospice / hospital. Current signed LTV competency or evidence of near completion. Evidence of effective training, teaching, facilitation and presentation skills. Post registration experience with demonstrated experience of delivering care to children and families in a health care setting. Must hold a full UK driver's license and own transport.
