    Position Title: Sr. Service Technician Department: Project Implementation Entity: CS e-Storage Reports To: Field Service Supervisor Location: Scotland (Onsite)
    Position Summary: The Sr. Service Technician will be an integral part of the service team with the main responsibility to commission and complete preventative and corrective maintenance of CSI Energy Storage’s Sol bank Storage Power Block (SPB). The individual will also be responsible to complete obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate must be able to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the UK. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a service environment is required.
    Responsibilities: Commission CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block Preventative and Corrective Maintenance of SPB’s to adhere to warranty requirements. Obligations for BESS equipment under LTSA’s which may include: o Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC’s) o Power Conversion Stations (PCS) o Ring Main Units (RMU’s) / Switchgear o Transformers o SCADA and networking devices Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands on support to maintain Equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees.     Position Summary:
    The commissioning technician will be an integral part of the commissioning team, with their main responsibility being to work with and support the commissioning engineer and their manager in the commissioning of BESS sites. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the country and, on occasion, internationally. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a commissioning or service environment is required.
    Responsibilities:
    • Commission BESS sites which use CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block as part of a commissioning team. • Perform tasks assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, such as safety system checks, installation inspection, and functional tests. • Perform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning checklists, reviewing, and updating the issues list and helping to monitor the performance of commissioned assets. • Support the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests. • Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support. • Supervise subcontractors on-site where required. • Assist in developing standard operating procedures from lessons learned on-site. • Assist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner. • Assist with the identification and compilation of spare parts inventories. • Ensure proper LOTO and switching procedures are observed as required. • Support client and operation and maintenance contractor training during and after commissioning. • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies. • Attending and occasionally leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings. • Review vendor commissioning documentation for completeness and accuracy. • Maintain deficiencies punch list for each vendor and track completion of various. • Work with the commissioning engineer to ensure post-handover site performance is optimised.
    Required Qualifications and Skills:
    • Qualified Electro-mechanical Technician. • Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience in an installation or service environment preferably in renewable energy or power generation • Previous training in, or knowledge of inverters highly desired. • SCADA experience will be beneficial. • Comfortable working in a team or alone, with good communications skills • Good practical problem-solving skills.

    Position Title: Project Quality Engineer Department: Quality Entity: e-STORAGE Reports To: Project Quality Manager Location: Scotland
    Position Summary:
    CS e-Storage is looking for a Project Quality Engineer to execute and monitor all project quality work. The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for executing the Project's Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), tracking root cause analysis (RCA) of any quality issues, and communicating solutions developed and lessons learned. This individual serves as a point of contact for coordination with different parties including owner representatives, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, O&M service providers, and CS e-storage team members. Strong dedication to achieving quality objectives, extensive experience in project quality execution, knowledge of manufacturing, function and O&M of inverters, transformers, or lithium-ion battery, good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, and capabilities of working under pressure and tight timeline are highly valued in this position.
    Primary Responsibilities:
    Develop, execute, and review the Project Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) with internal project team members and external suppliers and contractors to meet clients' contractual requirements and expectations. Plan, execute, and monitor all aspects of project quality assurance activities at different project phases. Answer quality questionnaires, understand contractual quality requirements, create, and review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct quality audits and RCA. Lead and facilitate the generation of lessons learned from past projects and their implementation in future projects for continuous improvement in project quality. Identify and track quality issues/observations/non-compliances, document and communicate their resolutions in accordance with the contractual requirements and the SSQP. Coordinate with and support engineering, project execution, and O&M teams in resolving equipment problems and proactively preventing performance issues. Assist commercial, procurement, and legal teams with quality-related tasks. Implement and update project quality management system (PQMS) according to ISO standards to meet the ever-evolving BESS business development and project quality needs. Cultivate and exemplify a quality culture that focuses on awareness of personal impacts, openness, and willingness to learn and get better together, doing things safely and right the first time, and promoting continuous improvement in everything we do at CS e-Storage.     Qualifications and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree or above in quality disciplines, engineering, project management, or similar subject areas. Proven track records in project quality with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy industry or automotive industry. Capable of conducting RCA and tracking its progress to completion and driving suppliers for temporary containment and permanent corrective actions. Hands-on experience in quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement.     Position Title: (Sr) Commissioning Engineer Department: Commissioning and Service Team Entity: CS e-Storage UK Reports To: Commissioning Manager UK Location: London, Birmingham, Leeds (75% travel to work on site)
    Position Summary:
    The Commissioning Engineer is part of a cross functional team that focuses on executing battery storage projects with market leading technologies. The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for testing and commissioning oversight activities of Battery Energy System Storage (BESS) projects from Pre-Commissioning phase through to Substantial Completion to ensure successful execution and operation of the BESS project. The Commissioning Engineer is expected to spend over 75% of his or her time at the project site.
    Responsibilities: Project Planning (remote):
    Participate in meetings with owner, operation and maintenance, design, and construction personnel to understand project goals and schedule to ensure proper coordination of commissioning activities. Assist the Commissioning Manager in Preparing commissioning plans, specifications and checklist and functional test documentation based on client and company standards. Review project documents and preliminary designs to identify gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success. This requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and permitting concepts.
    Project Commissioning (on site):
    Responsible for executional commissioning activities, which requires understanding/managing the scope, stakeholders and schedule and keeping all parties in sync. Interface with internal customers (commissioning manager, project manager, construction manager) and external customers (utilities, AHJs, contractors, end customers) to ensure consistent communication. Manage equipment supplier and host daily plan of day (POD) with each supplier to have them report progress and schedule their work. Review equipment Factory Acceptance Test procedures and reports. Perform site visits to coordinate commissioning plan, schedules, and check list to ensure all commissioning activities and performance testing are executed efficiently. Inspect construction work and support the resolution of installation and commissioning technical issues. Suggest improvement in commissioning execution plan or procedures/processes based on lessons learned. Assist in coordinating and training operation and maintenance personnel to maintain commissioned systems and perform a continuous commissioning program.
    Other:
    Maintain and develop key strategic relationships with major vendors, suppliers, and contractors throughout the energy storage industry. Support value-engineering and process improvements efforts by sharing project specific lessons learned.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    BS in an engineering field or equivalent experience/practical knowledge. 5-10 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or systems engineering within Energy Storage integrator or EPC contractor. Direct experience in battery storage systems, medium voltage stations, and/or related products/systems. Proficient in the specification, technical bid analysis and procurement of major equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear etc... Proficient is SCADA systems and associated communication protocols. Must have a sound understanding of commissioning and testing of Energy Storage projects. Practical hands-on experience in system engineering and solid understanding of related regulatory standards including local code compliance. A proactive and results-driven professional with a can-do attitude—setting ambitious, measurable goals and objectives for themselves and embracing accountability for achieving them A dynamic professional and the ability to positively interact and collaborate with a diverse group of people at all levels and disciplines and capable of standing in front of key clients, thinking on his/her feet, and making sound decisions within compressed timelines.     Position Title: Engineering Manager Department: Engineering Entity: CS e-Storage Reports To: Director of Project Engineering, EMEA Location: UK
    Position Summary:
    The Engineering Manager leads all the engineering activities of utility-scale Battery Storage projects in the UK. The candidate will organize and manage the work and act as the key technical liaison with client’s engineer and EPC partners during the design, construction and commissioning phases of the projects. Working closely with the commercial and product engineering team and suppliers, the candidate will plan the engineering activities and work through day-to-day issues.
    Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and authority while representing the engineering team at both internal and external forums. Manage engineering consultants or the EPC performing grid interconnection studies as required by AEMO or NSPs in accordance with the NER Support commercial team with technical requirements document review and drafting. Manage the day-to-day activities of the project engineering team. Recruit employees and oversee their development. Develop plans and procedures for design review, quality inspection and commissioning tasks. Support the procurement team in contracting activities by reviewing schedules and cost estimates. Ensure engineering processes and tools are established and standardized. Ensure that proper documentation is established for engineering records. Develop and maintain relationships with engineering firms in active markets. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the business unit's success. Provide reports to management as required. Hold the department accountable for all work and issues relating to professionalism and professional development.
    Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 10 years of direct technical experience from any of the following industries: Substation or Solar EPC, Engineering firm, Energy Storage integrator or similar. Minimum two years of team management experience. Working knowledge of the processes and the technical requirements prescribed under the National Electricity Rules, Experience in working with NSP requirements for network planning and/or augmentation and generator connections. Previous battery system experience is a plus. Strong project management and leadership skills Deep knowledge in power system installation, construction, design phase engineering, local jurisdiction requirement, project scheduling, system layout design, SLD etc… Thorough understanding and proficiency of local jurisdiction requirements, Fire Code, Safety Certifications, Electrical Safety Regulations, etc.
    Personal Qualifications: Comfortable in a collaborative and fluid environment. An excellent time manager, able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a wide variety of issues, initiatives and objectives concurrently. Good technical writing skills and be able to draft working instructions, etc. Exceptional ability to simplify and report complicated scenarios to the management team, with outstanding judgment and decision-making abilities. Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills (including oral, written and visual) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally with staff, management, clients, suppliers, community partners and external stakeholders. Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to be decisive in crisis situations. Ability to work flexible hours (evenings) and travel to project sites as required. Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time.
