Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager leads all the engineering activities of utility-scale Battery Storage projects in the UK. The candidate will organize and manage the work and act as the key technical liaison with client’s engineer and EPC partners during the design, construction and commissioning phases of the projects. Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 10 years of direct technical experience from any of the following industries: Substation or Solar EPC, Engineering firm, Energy Storage integrator or similar. Minimum two years of team management experience. Working knowledge of the processes and the technical requirements prescribed under the National Electricity Rules, Experience in working with NSP requirements for network planning and/or augmentation and generator connections. Previous battery system experience is a plus. Strong project management and leadership skills Deep knowledge in power system installation, construction, design phase engineering, local jurisdiction requirement, project scheduling, system layout design, SLD etc… Thorough understanding and proficiency of local jurisdiction requirements, Fire Code, Safety Certifications, Electrical Safety Regulations, etc.
Personal Qualifications: Comfortable in a collaborative and fluid environment. An excellent time manager, able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a wide variety of issues, initiatives and objectives concurrently. Good technical writing skills and be able to draft working instructions, etc. Exceptional ability to simplify and report complicated scenarios to the management team, with outstanding judgment and decision-making abilities. Position Summary: The (Sr.) Application Engineer will work closely with the commercial and engineering teams to develop proposals for new storage project opportunities and provide technical support to address customer needs. Position Summary:
The commissioning technician will be an integral part of the commissioning team, with their main responsibility being to work with and support the commissioning engineer and their manager in the commissioning of BESS sites. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the country and, on occasion, internationally. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a commissioning or service environment is required.
Responsibilities: • Commission BESS sites which use CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block as part of a commissioning team. • Perform tasks assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, such as safety system checks, installation inspection, and functional tests. • Perform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning checklists, reviewing, and updating the issues list and helping to monitor the performance of commissioned assets. • Support the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests. • Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support. • Supervise subcontractors on-site where required. • Assist in developing standard operating procedures from lessons learned on-site. • Assist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner. • Assist with the identification and compilation of spare parts inventories. • Ensure proper LOTO and switching procedures are observed as required. • Support client and operation and maintenance contractor training during and after commissioning. • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies. • Attending and occasionally leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings. • Review vendor commissioning documentation for completeness and accuracy. • Maintain deficiencies punch list for each vendor and track completion of various. • Work with the commissioning engineer to ensure post-handover site performance is optimised.

Position Summary:

Project Commissioning (on site):
Responsible for executional commissioning activities, which requires understanding/managing the scope, stakeholders and schedule and keeping all parties in sync. Interface with internal customers (commissioning manager, project manager, construction manager) and external customers (utilities, AHJs, contractors, end customers) to ensure consistent communication. Manage equipment supplier and host daily plan of day (POD) with each supplier to have them report progress and schedule their work. Review equipment Factory Acceptance Test procedures and reports. Perform site visits to coordinate commissioning plan, schedules, and check list to ensure all commissioning activities and performance testing are executed efficiently. Inspect construction work and support the resolution of installation and commissioning technical issues. Suggest improvement in commissioning execution plan or procedures/processes based on lessons learned. Assist in coordinating and training operation and maintenance personnel to maintain commissioned systems and perform a continuous commissioning program.
Other:
Maintain and develop key strategic relationships with major vendors, suppliers, and contractors throughout the energy storage industry. Support value-engineering and process improvements efforts by sharing project specific lessons learned.
Qualifications and Experience:
BS in an engineering field or equivalent experience/practical knowledge. 5-10 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or systems engineering within Energy Storage integrator or EPC contractor. Direct experience in battery storage systems, medium voltage stations, and/or related products/systems. Proficient in the specification, technical bid analysis and procurement of major equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear etc... Proficient is SCADA systems and associated communication protocols. Must have a sound understanding of commissioning and testing of Energy Storage projects. Practical hands-on experience in system engineering and solid understanding of related regulatory standards including local code compliance. Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager leads all the engineering activities of utility-scale Battery Storage projects in the UK. The candidate will organize and manage the work and act as the key technical liaison with client’s engineer and EPC partners during the design, construction and commissioning phases of the projects. Working closely with the commercial and product engineering team and suppliers, the candidate will plan the engineering activities and work through day-to-day issues.

Working knowledge of the processes and the technical requirements prescribed under the National Electricity Rules, Experience in working with NSP requirements for network planning and/or augmentation and generator connections. Position Summary:
The commissioning technician will be an integral part of the commissioning team, with their main responsibility being to work with and support the commissioning engineer and their manager in the commissioning of BESS sites. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the country and, on occasion, internationally. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a commissioning or service environment is required.
Responsibilities: • Commission BESS sites which use CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block as part of a commissioning team. • Perform tasks assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, such as safety system checks, installation inspection, and functional tests. • Perform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning checklists, reviewing, and updating the issues list and helping to monitor the performance of commissioned assets. • Support the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests. • Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support. • Supervise subcontractors on-site where required. • Assist in developing standard operating procedures from lessons learned on-site. • Assist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner. • Assist with the identification and compilation of spare parts inventories. • Ensure proper LOTO and switching procedures are observed as required. • Support client and operation and maintenance contractor training during and after commissioning. • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies. • Attending and occasionally leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings. • Review vendor commissioning documentation for completeness and accuracy. • Maintain deficiencies punch list for each vendor and track completion of various. • Work with the commissioning engineer to ensure post-handover site performance is optimised.
